With respect, we have always faced good talent in the SEC. We are also facing new coaches at: FSU, UT and Miss St.

IMHO, Who we faced was not the issue the past 7/8 years. Poor conditioning the past 3 years and atrocious PLAY CALLING the Past 8 years. (and yes I said 8 years - Addazio was the worst)

Make it 9 years since Addazio was the OC in 2009.

Wouldn't it be great if Florida had to face West Virginia in a bowl game (SEC vs Big 12: Texas or Liberty Bowl)? Many sports writers seem to have Will Grier as the preseason Heisman leader.

Early Heisman leader is the kiss of death - just saying.

I am just hoping for good play. I hope we can at least play like a contender.

Agreed. Regardless of whether Grier gets the Heisman, preseason projections for UF and WVU show a possibility of the two programs meeting in the postseason, both with about 8 wins and a 0.500 conference record, give or take. It would be an interesting game to say the least.

    Interesting thoughts.

I really think that Roper was a pretty good OC, it's just that Muschamp usually is the Kiss of Death for OCs. This past year, the Gators scored 97% of the time they got into the red zone, scoring TDs 68% of those times. It was an inability to sustain drives, largely due to having blocking schemes that were too complex. It's mistakes that kill you and complex methods are very difficult for a group of young men to effectively utilize.

He managed to beat us at the Swamp last year, although that was mostly 3 years of Nussmeier stupidity.

Do you think he wins us even 1 more game? I don't. He had a loaded cesspool squad and he was not that good.

Bleh... what else is new? With our schedule, we always play several great QB's every year.

Yes actually I do. Remember RF was beaten up and ran for his life behind that line. Blackmon struggled plenty but had way more positive plays and drives than Franks. Honestly I'm in the minority as I believe a healthy del rio wins more than either.

Franks was a taller version of treon last year. Gave it everything but couldn't run the offense or sustain a drive
