Gators leave two on. We go to the bottom of the 9th with Gators up 6-5.
Ouch, I hate it when batters do that... guess that's one of those freshman mistakes you hope they learn from.
Great play to get the lead runner. 2 out.
Come on Gators......
Edit: Stole second. RISP. Conference at the mound. 2-2 count.
Come on Hanhold - get that last strike
Runner steals second. hit ties it up. come on Eric
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! Gators win 6-5!
From the look on Sully's face he likely learned the second he got back to the dugout....tempered by his single and subsequent good baserunning
Ground ball to 2nd (death awaits ground balls there). Gators Win!
YES! Gators win!!
Losing to Kentucky 4 out of 5 would have really sucked! Great win.
W's have been hard to come by against UK this year; but getting one at the most important time definitely helps make up for some of that... I'm sure the guys are on cloud 9 after getting some redemption.
Congrats fellas. Job well done.
It will be interesting to see who Sully starts tomorrow. But who ever starts, it will likely be another bullpen committee production. Whitson is the most rested starter. Do we go with him and hope for 4 good innings?
So nice to have games on TV. Go Gators!
Im not trying to bash on Whitson but if we want this title i just dont think hes the best choice. He just hasnt had the stuff this year.
Who do you suggest? Whitson or Dunning is pretty much your option, and Whitson has more experience and a better ERA in more innings. I'm fine starting either guy, use one a mid relief along with Anderson...and close with Harris
That sounds like a plan and a good one. LSU hit very well today (4 home runs) and beat Arky on the run rule. Hope we can score some runs because we will need them most likely.
I'm starting Shore with a tight count on him and expect to bring in KW at some point. I expect LSU to start Poche as well. LSU has been a beast lately, looking forward to the challenge they present our team.
We have to be planning on starting Shore, I can't think of any other reason to pitch him on Wednesday.
