Can anyone explain the out where the CC outfielder dropped the fly? I got interrupted with guests and missed the explanation. Looked like the wrong call to me.

#2 seed in country? think the committee doubted it, and seeded this regional accordingly.

They didn't rule that he caught it...they ruled an out because Mattson passed Gushue on the base paths...

It doesn't appear they are moving the game back. Rather odd given the 6 hour time frame between the games. They only need 4. Plus it isn't on TV unless I am mistaken, only ESPN3.

I know Texas moved the elimination game back after the long Boston College game in 09. That game ended at 130ish as well.

I don't think so. I think we give the committee too much credit. I don't think they put much weight on teams other than a 1, 2, 3, or 4.

UF's resume regarding wins against the top 25 and 50 is incredible. They have more wins than the majority of teams have games. Significantly more in some cases. I do think the RPI might be biased against West Coast teams given they seem to perform very well in the postseason (at least in my head) so OSU's resume might be understated.

5 straight NCAA losses. They just struggle to consistently hit the ball and score runs. Not surprising their luck of winning low-scoring 1-run games this season might be turning in the other direction. Such a fine line

Do we have the same hitting coach? Year after year it seems the same, hitting and run scoring is our weak link.

We were 2nd in the SEC in runs scored in 2011 and 2012. We have the same hitting coach. We don't have Nolan Fontana, Preston Tucker, and Mike Zunino.

It is frustrating-you win the SEC title, go the tournament championship and you are hosting a region and lose the 1st game. Sometimes this young team seems to lose focus.

Ok but the base running has been horrendous since Sully's first day. It seems to rear its head at some pretty inopportune times.

Mattson as a junior yesterday should've known better than to overrun Gushue.

We haven't seen Trudgen all season, I wondered if anybody remembered him. Would love to see him make a surprise return today.

You know better in HS but clearly Sully hasn't emphasized base running. UF has been pretty good at almost all aspects since he took over save a few years on the batting average front and base running virtually every single year.

This is UF's best run of baseball success ever and clearly Sully is a terrific coach that UF should be grateful to have him in spite of the poor base running.
