"Given his former professional status, he will have to be a walk-on player at UF."

This is really good news. Another guy to throw in the mix and he will be on campus and working out in just a couple months.

Maturity goes a long way. Not sure of his skill level, but he should have a great shot at being a leader. And at his age, he understands that nothing is a given and be on the team is a gift.

I'm a little worried he saw to much of an opportunity after watching our spring game, if you know what I mean.

If all he saw was our spring game, he should see an opportunity. The coaches saw all the practices, so they're probably a lot less worried. WRs improved. OL is improving and healing. RBs will definitely take some pressure off of Driskel and Jeff will continue to come along. Having a "big-bro" there to support him will help. Nothing at all to worry about. This guy is there to get his education and continue playing sports.

I thought I read somewhere that he quit the team. He was out there this past summer. I thought he was pretty far down the list though when compared to the other guys at the position. He was having severe accuracy trouble. Jacob Guy from Dade City, to me, looked like a DI QB, though. Perhaps he will get a shot. He was throwing the piss out of the ball in the four or five practices I went to. And he looks the part. He's a big, tall guy.

Good to hear. I think we now have a competent staff that is going to make the right decisions, and I look forward to seeing who rises to the challenge.
