6'4" 270lbs DE that started 10 games last year. Will have 2 years to play 2. Was a 2015 3 star recruit originally out of Longwood, FL. Should provide good depth this year and may have a chance to start next year depending if someone jumps early.

So you are saying we have added another Junior year player to the defensive front 7 where we have 11 other juniors already. I hope this kid is really good because we have plenty of others to compete with. His size seems to fit our needs well.

I agree except to say that he does not have a lot of competition from someone who is a natural fit at DE in this scheme. I only think Conliffe, Carter, and incoming Langham are a natural fit. The less that Cece, Zuniga and Clayton have to sub in at DE, the better.

Krypt good point and nice tag onto my concern. His experience and measurables may suit him well.

Our DL depth chart has 2 SRs, 6 JRs, 3 SOs & 4 FRs. Zuniga & Polite could jump and the other 4 JRs have been underwhelming.

Two years to play, as grad transfer when CeCe and Zuniga will likely be gone next year

Interesting addition. A couple on the DLine may possibly jump, or maybe not, it all depends on how well they adapt to the new methods and perform.

Ahab, I assume that when you are counting 4 FR Dline, you are including Lang as a Buck and not a TE, meaning 2 Bucks and 2 SDEs.

I'm not real clear about who in our 3-4 defense is a defensive end and who is a linebacker. This guy is clearly a DE, possibly even a prototype for this defense. A lot of last year's DEs are likely to line up as a fourth LB.

Seems to always be around the ball and making plays at the LOS... I like that.
