Gators finished #8 in the Rivals ranking and signed 24 players after a 4 -8 season. FSU only finished #4 and had to sign 29 players after winning a NC. Tell me which coaches did the best job. Thanks Coach great job

I think they both did a pretty outstanding job. But to your point, this was an outstanding job by WM. Considering the absolute garbage that we saw and recruits saw on the field this past fall, this recruiting effort was nothing short of brilliant. Got to give credit where it is due. Fantastic recruiting job by the Gator coaching staff and WM.

We adressed all of our needs and as long as the OL gets corrected, we should be fine.

Could not be pleased more with the recruiting job done.
could not be less pleased with the coaching job done last year.
This will be the make or break year, for coaches and for UF football.

Like coach said, UF has been recruiting most of these kids for more than two years, so one bad season isn't going to change everything for the ones who want to be Gators.

Class rankings, in reality, are nice for bragging rights but the real judgement is on how these players progress and perform.

We certainly seem to have added a lot of good young men with bags of potential. For that reason alone, I tip my hat to the Gator staff.

Muschamp is 100% correct, and I'd also agree your coach did a great job this class. Most of the caliper kids that FSU and UF recruit are well on their way early in their junior yr. to establishing coaching relationships, going various camps and visits. By early fall of their senior yr. most have narrowed down, if not all but decided. This will make it really important for UF to start out strong on the field next Fall. With a glamour brand like UF one bad yr. won't slow things too much, but two bad ones may well hurt. Conversley, FSU should make even better headway next Fall .

Not really. The 2012 class has few left on roster. Don't ask me why. The 2010 class is all but gone as well. It is difficult for me to ascertain how our roster is full when the SR and JR classes barely have 20 players left.

From a longer term perspective, we have to hope the 2013 class was the start of solid classes made up of players that are going to stay on campus and invest. Not sure how much time Muschamp has to win with the mostly 2013/2014 roster but unless I'm missing some important considerations, "it is what it is".

It's probably been said a thousand times since NSD but this class would be a SOLID top 10 class(on paper) with three more players, a "real" RB, top 20 WR, offensive athlete.

One in the same. If we have a repeat season he'll be gone regardless of whether you qualify injuries as an excuse or horrifying luck.

I'm probably one of his biggest supporters here and I'd agree. We cannot have another season like that regardless of what happens. Hard to believe we'll see injuries like that again so improvement and wins are necessary.

You agree with what? We had horrible luck this last year, it's not an excuse. I doubt we have horrible luck two years in a row, and even if we did we have a more full roster than last year, we were paper thin last year. We are not lsu, bama fsu or Georgia this year in terms of depth of talent, I hope we don't have to test the deep end of our talent pool next year.

I agree that we need to see better coaching. Even with our injuries we still should've won at least 2 of the games we lost if not 3 more. I get the injuries and I get the depth but Vandy and GA Southern? Neither should've played a factor in those 2 games. I think Muschamp is our guy, and I believe he shows it this year, but if we have another season like last year then he'll be gone.

How long should it take to get the offense up and running?

I expect to see improvement right away. Doesn't have to be Oregon offense but a productive one to go with our defense.

Fair enough, I think at a certain point, though, it gets beyond coaching. Once confidence gets shot the most simple things become very difficult. I don't put last year on the coaches. And the younger the player the more this tends to happen.

Rivals only counts the top 20 players in a class, so FSU signing 29 and UF signing 24 is irrelevant in terms of the rivals rankings.

I do. If we have another 4-8 season (or even 5-7) Muschamp will be gone regardless of the excuse/s.
