Playing this week in another relatively weak field, and getting blitzed again. 27 strokes behind leader USF after 3 rounds, in 8th of a weak 14 team field.
It has been a frighteningly bad fall for the team
Coach Alexanders comments today "I'm lost for words. I thought we would play well this week and it hasn't happened"

Worst Gator golf team in history as of this point in time. They need a big improvement in the spring.

They are below .500 so they might not even qualify for NCAA's.

Francis Marion U might beat us, a Div II university. First time I have ever heard of them.

42 over par .... best efforts, 2 even par rounds out of 15 rounds.

I'm probably being unreasonable, but it just seems like we ought to be able to do better
    than this.

Francis Marion is a really small school near Myrtle Beach SC, I pass it on the way to my moms......you blink and you pass right by it..

We are ranked 77th in the latest Golfweek Poll. I have never seen us below 25 ever, that I can remember. This is an all time low.

I think he has some good recruits in 2015 but it will be too late. This team is just bad.

I think we can forget NCAAs...not sure that this team will even make regionals.

Another poor performance finishing 6th at the (very weak) SeaBest Invite behind the likes of UNF, Liberty and USC Upstate. Oy.

At this point, I'd be shocked if Alexander doesn't "retire" after this season.

Very weak field and a distant 6th, Liberty and North Florida tied for first 32 strokes better than UF. Gators did get a midyear transfer from FAU that looks to now be our best player, but still not a very good team.

At Sea Best, 15 rounds and NOT ONE par round. Should this be true for a Div 1 program? Must have been a tough
course as scores were pretty high, but my God, can't we do better than this?

Gator Invitational this weekend and we are in 11th place out of 14 teams. We have the worst score going in the second round. This team is awful.

Rebounded a little into 8th place...still awful on your home course vs a mediocre field.

On our home course .... 41 over par, NOT ONE par round, 26 stokes behind FSU.

    Wow.

Anyone who saw the recruiting rankings over the past couple of years could see this coming.
Alexander should have been gone after last year, at a minimum he should have been smart enough to see what was ahead and walked away.

Finished 11th of 15 in this very mediocre field. It actually could've been better, considering we had Gavino finish 12th as an individual and one of the starters finish T73rd [of 75]. Had Gavino started instead, the team would've finished a respectable 5th. It's one thing for players' performance to vary wildly on the road but when there is that much inconsistency and/or the coach is that wrong in choosing a starting lineup *on your home course*, you've really got some issues. Not that that's really news at this point.
