Tony Barnhart on a big rant today on how WM deserves to be retained. One bulldog sticking up for another. 3 straight wins over UF will do that to him, can't blame him.

But it's more than that, it's been all my Seminole, thug U, and UCF friends down here who have been in my ear all year long about how great our HC is. Of course they like him, it's in their best interest for WM to stay put. That to me is a major red flag because these same people HATED Spurrier and Meyer when we were at our best. Just food for thought on a Monday night.

Of course they want him to stay. Lol I wish Derek Dooley would have kept the job at Tennessee for 10 more years.

This is not ground breaking news. This didn't need its own thread... A rival fan wants a coach at UF to stay because he is losing? Shocker...

let's focus on last year. but not two years ago, or this year.
i'd say his problem is inconsistency, but the offense has been consistently atrocious and he does consistently lose to his alma mater.

Two years ago I think the "Meyer's fault" excuse was actually legit. it was going to be a rough year for anyone.

Who blames a coach for his first year unless its a coach in waiting situation or the team is stable/stacked with talent?

People who have made up their mind and will not see logic or reason. Not sure why we are even trying anymore.

Three years in a row with 5 losses? Lost to a 1-5 MSU team who if I remember correctly lost to a D2 team. Far far less? Or revisionist history?

Yep. Noticed it a while ago. Hell, not just me but pretty much everybody. Whenever anybody points out that Muschamp is not a good head coach, Georgia, sow and scUM fans leap immediately and passionately to his defense. I've had several conversations with fans of other schools on various national boards and they have noticed it too.....which has led them to conclude the obvious - he's not any good as a head coach.
