Too many Walmarts left to visit with the crystal ball!
Definitely worried. Only 2 scholarships lefts and multiple 4 and 5 star recruits interested. The OP is right on the money. FSU is worried about FSU's future. I was talking to a guy, he said he was an FSU fan, and he said he was pissed off when Kermit Whitfield returned that KO for a TD against Auburn. So, again, there are lots of problems at FSU. Big problems. Big, big problems. When I say big problems what I mean is not little problems.
What Missouri said...
F$U still sucks.
I would rather be 4-8, than win like they do, and did.
Your MNC only covers up the stench.
Didn't do anything to treat the source of the stench.
Maybe he's thinking about that civil lawsuit against Jameis and TPD, and FSU? Maybe the cancellation of the celebration really has everything to do with that? Maybe that's REALLY why Pruitt got the hell out of Dodge the first chance he could? Maybe they've got a very loose culture there and he knows that civil lawsuit is going to be supremely messy? Maybe they saw that instagram photo of Jameis on his toilet and realized this dumbass country bumpkin needs some refinement before that public MNC celebration?
So far, FSU has skated right over any lasting taint to this championship season. Don't bet on that lasting.
If the recruits try to leave, Jameis will drag them into the bathroom where there's a functional lock on the door. He won't let them go until they commit, then he'll drive them back to campus on his scooter and drop them off at the stadium.
cancelled because Jameis is still constipated
Staying at the top is much tougher than reaching it.
I am sorry but give credit where credit is due. We were 4-8, lose to a directional college that was 1A, we have our own players blocking each other, and our offense was offensive. They were 13-0. You look like a sore loser. Next year , we do an Auburn, they we can talk smack!
Just reporting what I was told by someone in the know, buddy. Who could have predicted what happened to us after the 2008 NC? I'm sure many FSU fans thought the same about the Gators in 2009 and look at us now. Buy low, sell high. We're pretty low right now and they're pretty high. Besides Alabama and arguably LSU, every national championship winner in the last 20 years fell off within 3-4 years and fell hard within the next 6-7 years. Don't believe me, look it up. It's all cyclical.
I wouldn't think FSU would be too worried about their future from purely a football perspective. They return a lot of players and have been recruiting very well.
But as Rattler pointed out, things could get ugly wrt civil suit against JW, TPD and the university. That could cause some real issues and pull the NCAA in (Title IX). And I think FSU is still on probation for the academic issues, right?
tick tock tick tock
Yep, they have plenty of talent and a pretty good staff.
My thoughts exactly. Last year they lost 6 assistants and were undefeated. This year they lose 2 and they're worried?
I agree, and they are likely to play for the NC again next year.
If they do, we'll have to consider Jimbo an elite coach. Repeating is always tough, just keeping players focused. And their schedule should be a good deal more difficult.
If any recruits try to leave, Jameis will take them out for a drink. Then he'll take them back to his place and show them a good time. They won't remember much, but if they try to remember anything, the district attorney will have a good laugh and explain to them the importance of winning football games in Tallahassee. Then if they try to leave, they can be charged with obstruction of justice.
Should only be worried that playing the same type of schedule they have played for the past 30 years will not get them into a playoff game.
Wait.... i thought noles spelled gold with 3 letters : S.O.S.
Because other than those ugly helmets their strength of schedule is the only thing 'golden" about the nolies.
