Looking at the FSU depth chart, and taking out the starters equal to those we have lost this year (Winston, Benjamin, Freeman, 3 OL, Mario Edwards, Jernigan, Telvin Smith, and Joyner) their record would be at least as bad as ours. Even in the horrible ACC.

Go to any team's depth chart take out their QB, starting RB, best WR, 2 best OT, starting guard, best overall player at DT, 3 best LBs, and CB, and see how they do. That isn't even all of the injuries that we have.

I live in tally so I hear about FSU a lot. From what I hear, they are deep. Winston won the job after a tight race with Coker. Many here think he is not a big dropoff and may transfer to Bama. They are also deep at RB and OL. I think if they had our injuries they would not be 4-5. Maybe they'd have 2 losses tops. Another differentiator is that our starters weren't lighting it up when they were healthy. Some would even say we upgraded at some positions by playing backups.

I also don't think they'd be 4-5, but their schedule is also significantly easier than ours.

Coker might be comparable to Winston(a stretch), and RB's might be, but the losses on OL, receiver and defense would really hurt. You might be right, 2 losses, the two ranked teams they have played.

Their backup qb is having surgery and is out.
If Winston gets injured, their down to their third string qb.

Maybe not equal players, but the same position players, and their best players. I'm not saying that we would have been as good as they are right now, but they couldn't survive the losses that we have either.

After Winston goes pro, perhaps. Other than that you need to hope UF beats Georgia Southern. Because the ranked teams will have the game in hand by the half.

Come on now, are we really going to sit here and say that Matt Jones was our best RB and so irreplaceable and since when was Andre Debose our best WR? I can see if you said return specialist, but WR? What did he do the previous 3 seasons to earn that title?

To be fair, Benjamin probably isn't the Noles' #1 WR either.

Debose was our best WR? Yeah, no.

And given FSU's schedule, worst case they'd have 2 losses.

He was our starting rb when he went down, and Debose was the #1 wr when he went down. And just like FSU, the back-ups at those positions are comparable to the starters. Not so, at the other positions.

Debose had 3 catches for 15 yards last season, got benched in favor of Patton, and couldn't sniff the field after Patton broke his arm because his work ethic was garbage.

They might have lost to Clemson, but nobody else. Big difference is that their backups would 1. exist and 2. have shown improvement since getting the job.

Losing Winston is not comparable to losing Driskel.

The problem is we are terrible regardless. We lost to Miami while near full strength. FSU destroyed them. Toyed with them. And laughed at them. Can't wait to see what they do to us.
