While this subject has been dealt with and discussed so often, it seems one of the cheerleader outlets for Hussein himself is now pointing out the premium increases for the healthy folks could be as much as triple.

Yeah Hussein....all your promises were lies, lies, and more lies. Yet the koolaid 'no-information' gulpers who blindly follow your tripe helped you to stick it to all of us as we bend over.

maybe obama's people can threaten the big insurance companies with "tax issues" and order them to lower their rates!

your comments are half correct. Yet more selective spin by cons

A review of proposed health care plans across eight states shows premiums for those in good health may double or even triple under Obamacare, while costs for people with chronic conditions will likely decrease, The Wall Street Journal reports

bottom line---some will pay more than they have and others won't. That's pretty much the same as it has ever been with insurance companies. It's just that now that insurance companies can't gouge those with existing conditions as much as they used to.

in any case it is the insurance companies execs who write the protocols for their companies as to which customers pay higher rates and which pay lower rates...and by how much.

The Party of the jackass (a.k.a the Dems) thinks it's okay to triple insurance rates because they know most of their base voters will not pay a dime for Obama-care/tax. When this whole bill started, with bipartisan support, it was to decrease the cost of Health-care.

It's funny how none of our resident "party of the jacka$$es" care about the cost of health-care anymore.

So let's reward unhealthy people at the expense of the healthy. Kinda like let's reward the jobless at the expense of those that have jobs and pay taxes. This is why I think only stupid or lazy people vote democrat.

So you're saying its better to gouge the healthy people who don't need insurance then the unhealthy people who actually incur the costs?

And that--the bolded part---entitles them to go forth to gouge those of us who ARE healthy???

Typical Dem lib-left thinking. The costs have to be subsidized somewhere so we can gouge those who have done the right thing all along....paying for our OWN health care all along--the way it SHOULD have been done by everyone....lived within our means and budgeted our finances whereas to be able to afford health care....lived the right lifestyles as much as possible to help prevent the need for major health care....and so WE must be the ones getting gouged.

Sorta like the producers and the takers in life. The producers do everything correctly, and because the takers want what the producers have, the Dems/lefties/libs mandate that WE should be shafted while the takers are provided for....by us--the producers.

    smh...

The list of excuses to polish up the turd in office just keeps adding up. When is enough, enough? If Bush were making the decisions Obama is making, everyone would call for his head. Instead you deny, deflect or ignore the (many) bad things Obama has done while in office. It's shameful.

So lets reward behavior that leads to bad health by charging more to those who maintain good health practices, to the extent health is controllable.

Seems the polar opposite of where it should be.

"So you're saying its better to gouge the healthy people who don't need insurance then the unhealthy people who actually incur the costs?"

No, I am not saying it is better or fair. I am merely stating what it occurring. the article itself said some people's rates will go up and other peoples' rates will go down. This is contrary to the spin that the OP gave to the title of the thread and his spin on the article with him insinuating that everybodys' rates will be tripled

I pay for insurance. My rate has gone up. Thing is. My taxes have been going up over the years paying for people who don't have insurance because of pre-existing conditions or cost of policies.

Basically the healthcare of people with pre-existing conditions, etc are a nightmare for those of us who buy insurance and pay taxes... we literally get screwed by taxes AND/or increased insurance rates. And that is how it has been for many decades now.

I can also guarantee that the insurance companies are increasing rates for you and I far more than what ACA would result inb with insurance companies taking on people with pre-existing conditions

I guarantee the insurance companies are claiming ACA is hitting them so hard that they have to double even triple rates for some people instead of lower increase that the added people with pre-existing conditions would cause. In other words to stay at profits they have been making the companies could increase by 1.5 to 2 times the rates of people but that corporate execs are choosing to double or triple the rates so they can get more profit..

Thing is...I'm not happy with ACA. But I believe that following transition it will be same or better than the system as it is now(since the overall system nationally will still be a bastard mix of part socialized medicine and part corporate medicine). I would much prefer total socialized medicine to eliminate the corporate middlemen whose desire for profit adds cost that is totally unnecessary to healthcare.
