If you believe that to be true, why do you think it has not been done and I'm talking on a part time basis?

Rick Barry was one of the best at free throw shooting the usual way. He changed to underhand to gain three percentage points. Even the best can get better.

Bill Laimbeer during Shaq's rookie year hit Shaq so hard the fight was on. Except Bill turned his back and walked directly to his spot for the coming free throws. He looked up at Shaq and said," now hit the free throws rookie." Shaq almost broke the backboard with the free throws as he was so pumped with anger.

You can get better but we need to use Bill in a way and make the team shoot the free throws after a true foul, not by your lonesome after practice. Teaching them how to relax when the blood is boiling can help.

The free throw doc had Shaq as a client, didn't help a bit.

If you couldn't improve free throw shooting, then the youth of America would drop basketball. Anyone who has been around basketball coaching knows that every aspect of the game can be improved, especially shooting. If it is true that either you can or you can't then no coaching is necessary.

One Gator that perplexed me was Lee Humphrey. He was lights out from beyond the arc but couldn't hit his free throws.

In our games, that would be "Hack-a-Pat."
