Anyone have any recommendations on what is the best(safest) way/site/etc. to get your credit report online? I found a site online called Credit Karma but I chickened out before submitting all personal info. required. Thanks for any help, guys.

    I use: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action

Be aware that you are allowed one free credit report per year by Federal law, but knowing your credit score will cost you. Knowing your score from all of the big three will cost you more.

I'm more worried about the government getting my info and then giving it to every single agency in government than anything else...

Apply for a loan - the lender will tell you what your scores are. BTW, my wife used credit Karma with no issues.

I use credit karma and credit sesame. both free, both provide a score that is usually pretty close to your fica score and both notify you when a credit inquiry is made or a new card opened
