Tough start today for Michael Frazier as he scored only 2 points on 1 for 8 shooting with 5 rebounds and 1 assist in 18 minutes in a 88-29 win over the Ivory Coast.

5 boards, bad day shooting....but it appears he didn't let it affect his defense. He's a natural shooter, and the shots will fall.

Five rebounds in eighteen minutes doesn't sound like a thud to me, especially in 60-point victory. Like taxman said, the kid can shoot.

Jitters! And who could blame him. 12 months ago he was a relatively unknown recruit (nationally). Now he's in Europe playing for team USA. His stroke is pure and effortless. It will come back to him once he settles in.

Gonna pile on here. The kid can shoot. It will drop soon enough.

Shows that he can influence the game when his shot isn't falling with all those rebounds. It just shows that he is getting the big picture on how to play.

I'll take defense that never fails versus offense that might fail.

Frazier scorched the nets all season, up until the last few weeks, and then his shooting fell way off. Hope that's not something to be concerned about.

If by "fell way off" you mean during four games in the NCAAs, I don't know that would concern you. It was four games. 2-8. He was even sick the week in between. But he was 50% in the SEC tournament and over 53% in league play, and we have heard nothing from reports about the national team other than how good he is shooting.

Coach has Frazier on "green light" status and isn't about to take him off.

It was probably just that he was so good earlier that a mediocre stretch seemed like a big dropoff. Exaggerated it in my mind.

It's good to hear that he's working hard on his defense and other aspects. Those are the things that will push him into a starting role for the Gators. I also hope he's working on a Brad Beal slash this off-season. The guy would be devastating if he could pick that up.
