I may be moving there in six months. Someone who lives in the Arlington section said he'd give me a good deal on his house. Havent seen it.

Question. I talked to two people from Jax. One said Arlington is a good area; the other said it has gone downhill in past 30 years.

Depends on you I guess. I lived there for 5 years. Moved to the Mandarin area and love it here. Do a map street view of the surrounding area. In general terms, the closer you get to the river, the better the area and value.

I'd rater not live in Arlington. Saying it has gone downhill in the last 30 years is an understatement. Get the address of the house he is talking about and look it up on Google Earth street view. And look it up on Zillow to see pics of the inside of it.

Not sure what your budget is, but Mandarin in S. Jax is good and a Nocatee in St. Johns county is good also. Both are affordable, but not cheap.

Arlington is a pretty big area. Some places I would move in a heartbeat. Others, not if I had a choice. I would agree that the neighborhoods that butt up to the river are usually kept up. Good luck.
