    • We finished between 18th to 13th depending on how many signees they count.
    • This is a transition year.
    • Mullen only had 1 Top 20 Recruiting Class in 9 years at MSU and look how they played?
    • And they were competitive in the SEC WEST
    • We are Loaded at RB, OL, and WR
    • This is the most Offense we have had in 8-10 years.

Mullen pulled the best transition class of any coaches at uf.

Still not the biggest fan of the Mullen hire; but that said: he did good work to deliver a top 20 class with a shorter recruiting period than normal.

All things considered, transition recruiting classes are tough...and Mullen certainly brought in a decent class with that in mind. Better than the first-year efforts of most of our recent hires.

And I believe we were 7th-ish in average player ranking....Should be a high quality class.

I’m more excited now about the future of the program ... than at any point since 2010.

I wasn't a fan (like at all) in the beginning, but am coming around to it big time. I think Mullen was the right hire, especially when you look at where all of the chips fell. He did a good job with this class, he's young and has tons of HC experience. He'll make sure we have a respectable offense for once. I'm on board.

And Mullen seems to be better at Player Development if you look at what he did at MSU.

About 2 more on defense would have been nice, but he certainly got quality kids everywhere.

What's perhaps the most curious and interesting thing about the Mullen additions is that he garnered 2 former Miss St Commits, and both of them appear to have Scottish Ancestry: McPherson & McDowell.

In the entire College Football universe, I doubt that there are 20 Scotts total. I mean, yeah, Knute Rockney wad Viking Ancestry, but the specific Scottish branch of Viking Ancestry usually lacks the speed to play today's brand of college football. Note, a Pk and and Oline player.

I think this both interesting and curious.

    Themistocles...
You need to have your DNA done over at Ancestry.com
I did mine last year and it has been one of the absolute best buys for the buck that I have ever done.
I came to find out that I was related to:
    Gregg and Duane Allman
    Jim Morrison
    Elvis Presley
    Tom Petty
    Colonel Sanders
    King Henry VIII
    Mary Queen of Scots
And a ton of other U.S. Presidents, industrialist like David Rockefeller, etc...

No, still not a big fan and there were others we could have offered; or offered more money to sweeten the pot. Let's not act like we don't have the money or resources to attract top talent. But that being said, I'm giving him credit for doing a good job with this class, so spare me this useless sidebar. Mullen is our coach and he has my support.

Nothing wrong with someone having reservations about a new head coach until he proves himself on the field.

Careful...prepare yourself from a flurry of negative rep from Nolagator, et al for uttering anything less than effusive praise for Mullen.

    LIKE WHO?

Scott Frost was going to Nebraska (Alum), Kelly still did worse than Mullen, Strong is a Defensive Guy...Taggart?

Mullen Knows the SEC, Knows UF, Knows FL, Is an Offensive Guy, Won 2 NC's for UF, Has Brought in a Great Staff, Has History of Developing 3 Stars...WANT'S to be a GATOR.

He beat out Kelly, Muschamp and Jimbo...AND he is already meeting with Gator Clubs...PLEASE what do you want?

with that in mind, shouldnt we say he brought in a great class? Without keeping transition classes in mind, he brought in a decent class imo.

to that i say, lets not act like Mullen isnt top talent!

I would suggest that if Mullen truly has your support, dont tell everyone you arent the biggest fan. It just seems an unnecessary disclaimer on a UF message board, which will more than likely sidetrack any topic.
