lol seriously? Most top programs would fire WM after a season like this, but not with our huge ego AD Foley.

Meyer picked us over his dream school after we fired Zook in 2.5 years.

LOTS of great coaches for $3 mil will take the job, don't kid yourself. If Foley lets recruiting and booster $ fall off because of his bad decisions it will be HARDER to get a head coach.

What is with people? Don't fire Muschamp because we'll NEVER find a coach better than 4-7, waaaahhhhh

the only REAL question is what OC in their right mind would come here? You get to save Muschamp's job only to have him take full credit or you get thrown under the bus for him???
    Yeah, that sounds attractive....

Foley is the best in the business. If Foley is allowed to have his way one day we are going to look back and admire Foley's judgment on this. There is a reason why Foley is AD and the fans are not.

I think it's great that Foley comes out and strongly supports his coach when the season hasn't gone well. It's says a lot about good management and leadership.

Maybe I missed something, but was this a 'press conference' or Foley just giving quotes to some hand-picked journalists? If Foley is going out of his way to avoid a typical press conference where he'd have to answer more difficult questions, that's ridiculous and really adds on to what I consider to be the embarrassing manner which JF s handling this situation with.

Three years is more than enough time at a top tier school like this. And many coaches worth their weight will take on the challenge. It's been done here not too long ago. So firing him doesn't affect or impact us in anyway, except maybe/possibly in this recruiting cycle.

Make a change just to do it? No, make a change because the current guy isn't qualified and driving this program to the ground. Wake up!

He may be the best in the business but he can make mistakes, he's made them before and will again.

If we are no better next year, Foley needs to be fired along with Champ.

Wake up huh? Driving our program in to the ground, huh? I bet you're one if those guys who thinks last year was an accident, right?

Ok football genius, who are you hiring after firing Muschamp? And are you so sure in your hire that you're better off making the change now rather than not overreacting, like this entire board is, and waiting to see what happens next year and/or if someone else does emerge as a truly viable option to rebuild our program? Because if you fire Muschamp now and end up hiring another coach who fails, you do far more long term damage to the program than you would if you stay just a bit more patient and give Muschamp 1 more season. Despite not wanting to give him credit for it, he did lead us to 11-2 last year and as much as this season has been a massive disaster, he has proven capable of winning football games.

The absolute worst part of Foleys statement was the 11-1 bit, almost a misinformation campaign.

So I guess all of the other SEC, national titles and all around program awards in all of our other sports don't mean a thing, huh? His only job is to hire football coaches? And of course, he hired Zook and Muschamp but it was Machen who hired Meyer, right?

Muschamp....err...i mean...jisgator, you still have a little over six minutes of "coaching" this season. Stop wasting your time on these boards with the fans.
