Why would a recruit want to come to this? Every time the ball is snapped they might as well play circus music!

Yeah. Calling the Meyer hire a bad hire basically ignores the two national championships. Like ignoring our bowl loss last year.

I understand your rational and we'll know who's right in about 1 month. Between a rock and a hard place are we.

No ETOH here, read my post above yours and see the rationale. Feel free to disagree

You know good and well that was Machen who was behind that hire.

After reading the part about fixing what is broken ... I think Pease is clearly gone.

It also allows Muschamp to go get a good OC and pitch that he isn't going anywhere.

Finally, it gives our recruits confirmation that will be here.

At this point, I would be surprised if Pease is here for the bowl game.

Pretty decent list of scapegoats there. You only missed Bobby Pruitt, Marquand Manual, Doug Johnson, Chris Leak, Dan Mullen and Kestahn Moore...

Two strong wins?!? If it wasn't for Wondy St. Pierre recovering that muffed punt return for a TD, we might have lost that game.

I'm not so sure that Pease is on solid ground. I agree with the depth and injury issues. Not so much on the disruption. The offense already seems chaotic and disrupted, now's as good as any to change. I'm not blaming Pease for everything, I know part of it is a lack of execution on the field and miscommunication between players but coaching is part of that. It may be just my perception but the offense doesn't always seem to adjust well during the game to what is happening around it. Half time adjustments have been good but there doesn't seem to be the same in game dynamic that you see with somebody like Spurrier and some other really good OCs. I may be totally wrong on that but it's hard to tell with the offense being such a cluster and the effect the injuries have had on that dynamic. I hate to see another OC coming in for the kids but it seems like this offense has to be revamped in some way anyway, so why not. If we get a well respected OC it may stabilize recruiting some. Don't know who is going to be available but there are other threads for that.
The alternative is that Muschamp's hold the ball philosophy has handicapped the offense and that the philosophy might change. Hate when we have held the ball till the clock winds right down and the opposing defense knows exactly when we are going to snap the ball. If the O-line is healthy next year maybe we'll see a more up tempo offense. Here's hoping.

Oh yeah... I mean why would Foley want to hire the two time national coach of the year who just went undefeated at Utah? And everyone knows how much Foley hates hiring young energetic coaches who recruit like mad men. Clearly Foley wanted nothing to do with Meyer.

If Machen was behind the Meyer hire why was he also not behind the Muschamp one? and why would he give a vote of confidence today?

Someone else posted this, but Bernie was already halfway out the door at Utah on his way here when Urban arrived.

"This is not the quote-unquote dreaded ‘vote of confidence.’ This is just how we all feel around here." Jeremy Foley

He said 1,000% so I guess it's fair to say 'they' like Muschamp ball. Interesting...

Where was Machen before UF? Where was Meyer? Why didn't SOS get his old job back at UF? Yeah, it was Foley who was behind the hire. Machen wanted no part of SOS, while Meyer was available. Not saying it was a mistake to hire him, but let's give credit where credit is due.

Explain why Foley wouldn't want Meyer in 2005?

There's really no arguing the facts. Zook was a better coach at UF than Muschamp. Since they know they can't argue the facts, look for the regime dead-enders to try to attack you instead. Its all they've got.
