I am very happy about this. Agree with Foley 100 percent. Foley and Muschamp know more about football than anyone on this board. So everyone stop your whining and bitching and start supporting your team, and stop trying to tear it down.

    Go Gators!

So far JF has not made a good football HC hire. Maybe the third time will be a charm.

A more accurate headline would read: Foley desperate to avoid admitting he screwed up.

You must not have read the article. Machen supports the decision and backs Foley.

"Despite the loss and fan criticism in recent weeks, Foley and UF President Bernie Machen made it clear Wednesday they remain firmly behind Muschamp, who was head coach-in-waiting at Texas prior to his arrival at Florida.

“I want the Gator Nation to know that I have full confidence in Coach Muschamp and his leadership of the football program,’’ Machen said."

When asked if he thought Muschamp should be fired, Bernie Machen responded, "I hope he doesn't fire me!"

That sounds bad for Muschamp. They'll let him play out the rest of the season, then pull the plug, imho.

Same vote of confidence Lane Kiffin got from Pat Haden a few weeks before he was fired.....

They won't pull the plug until they have a solid commit from a proven HC. That's not easy to get until after the regular season.

That's like saying we were 11-1 last year.

I may not necessarily agree with the AD (or disagree, for that matter) but I support him and his position.

So, come hell or not the rest of the way, I'm all in.

Thing is 2006 finished the season with 2 strong wins over Arkansas for the SEC Championship, and a dominating win in the National Title game.

2011 left much to be desired after pulling a no-show in the Sugar Bowl. Those bowl games really do mean a lot towards perception about your program.

I think he meant the dude left of 2 other Foley hires (SOS, Meyer).

I know, people who hate Foley credit Machen with the Meyer hire.

I'm a Gator first. I am resigned to the fact that Muschamp will be GIVEN next year based on last year's record. The issue is we didn't look good going 11-2. Who cares how you win as long as it keeps up. The wheels were falling off BEFORE all the injuries. Tis a poorly coached team overall.

Foley, IMHO, has hitched his wagon to Will Muschamp. I truly hope this turns around. I can't stomach this another year.

And who are we going to beat for this signature win? You must be willing to wager more then $100 on this one.
