I actually blame Reagan in part for that. His 84 campaign asked, "Are you better off ...".

Then Clinton follows it up with the even worse, "It's the economy, stupid" slogan. Ironic that the economy stunk (although not as bad as now) when he left office.

It is screwy but seems to be the new normal......when you think about it, business looks to the government, too. Before being lured to FL and setting up shop, they expect sweet tax deals and cash incentives. Scott has been a pretty big spender on this..... I'm not sure it's been tax dollars well spent.

Did Obama or any of our Dems create new, decent paying jobs?

True, but he also represents the lesser of the two evils.

If Scott does indeed "line his pockets" he will be a rank amateur compared to the little community organizer from Chicago who will leave the White House a very rich man. We may never know the full extent of the quid pro quo deals that propelled this nobody to fame and fortune. Talk about opportunistic politians.

How much a person is a crook is second to their being a crook to start with. When we start arguing one is less of a crook than the other then we have already lost.

Something that all cities and states seems to do that I have never cared for. It may pay off in the long run and it may not.

Not where you are coming from "including" Pubs in your statement. Most pubs I know think Scott is doing just fine. He had a learning curve but has settled in and is doing what he thinks is best for the state to attract, not kill, jobs.

I agree with the prior poster, if he's pissing off people on both sides, he's likely representing our interests well.

Glad to see how the same simple logic doesn't apply because of your political views

Hope Pew didn't spend a lot of money to get those results. I could have told their subscribers the same thing just from too hot arguments.

Demos are handicapped and disenfranchised in these surveys and it is not fair!
40% of their voters are nowhere to be found during these call a thons as unless "Obama phones" publishes their #, they are incognito and only show up on presidential election years to vote to continue the freebies!

    So this poll is crap.

River what issue is at hand that is not being dealt with? Are you talking about the voter purge which should be done when needed?

What it goes to show is that republicans will generally more informed than democrats.

Continue to complain that voter database purge is somehow really doing anything other than eliminating fraud (potential) or voter mistakes is almost as bad as those who wont let Obama's birth certificate conspiracy go.

actually, what it shows is that three years ago in a poll of 1100 people, Republicans got an average of 1.9 more questions right.
The voter purge was done ridiculously badly and partisanly (that should be a word) last time. It needs to be done right.

There has been one case of voter fraud in this state under Scott. Scott won't do anything as it was a Republican fraud. This is why I don't like the guy. Either be for something in total or just call it what it is, a way too get at the other party.
