How closely did you follow recruiting since 2010? We had one of the best defensive classes in recent memory in 2010, many of whom were key contributors to last season's defense. Offensively, we have missed on key targets during that stretch (S. Watkins, Diggs, Algohor) and have lost our best offensive signees to injury or transfer (Dunkley, Coxson, Debose). It is without question talent.

And why would it be philosophy? Does any staff have a philosophy that it doesn't want to move the ball?

Unless you can find some plutonium for your flex capacitor, then you are going to be sorely disappointed because even Spurrier doesn't run the "fun 'n gun" anymore.

Our recruiting has been exemplary at RB and WR and we will see the rewards.
Last year I posted about how little we threw the ball to our backs. This year with more potential targets it is an area of focus for Pease and I believe we will see many more big plays from it.

Very good point. That is a real Boise staple and we used it pretty sparsely.

Last year we made alot of progress on O. When things went south for us 3 years ago, we could not run the ball at all. 2 years ago, it was the same. No running game, then no passing game.

We took big strides last year when our O-Line finally started moving people off the ball. Jeff was not ready for a prime time passing attack, and our WR core was not elite in any sense. Our backs are now much bigger, and Jeff D is developing as expected. We are starting to re-stock our receivers with elite talent. IMO, we will make a big jump on O this year, and the the 3 years of offensive purgatory will become a distant memory.

I really enjoyed last years team, the way they fought and scrapped for everything. I also realize that we are going through a process, and we have to look past the offensive results and see the possibilities going forward.

Good for you. Personally I hate struggling to beat teams like Missouri at home, Bowling Green, and Louisiana.

Pease stated that they reviewed last year's game tapes and were surprised how little they threw to the RB's...and they were focusing on that more this year. This should help the passing game tremendously, and help Jeff have more options to get rid of the ball. Some of those sacks he took last year could be dump off's to a RB instead.

fla hasn't been relevant nationally since 2009---coaching staff in disarray, recruiting mistakes, discipline problems

things need to change this year.

I like winning, but I like watching our team handle who they should be able to handle, and struggle against who they should struggle against. I think this year out offense takes a big step forward, teams think the same thing... Florida can not pass so they will load the box, that will give Driskel good 1 on 1 match ups where he can go over the top.

Seemed pretty relevant last year after the FSU game. Seemed petty relevant this off season good or bad news.

Reminded me of the 2006 team and that was fun.

Me too. Well said. I'm getting more and more confident about our offense. Go Gators.

Tell that to LSU, TAMU, South Carolina and FSU. What a silly comment.

Hopefully we don't win any games this season that we could have lost. That's always a bummer.

As well you should be, bet the first 3-4 games, every team loads the box to stop the run, and that should give Driskel and Co plenty of opportunities to do damage. If they can't score then, well then we need a new QB.
