When something helps us more than you will ever know, it actually does do that, unlike at scUM.

How many straight games did we win after that? It was over 20. What's amazing is we did not play well at all the first 4 weeks of the season. Then starting in the 2nd half against Arky, we embarrassed our opponents in record fashion. Had a lot to do with inserting Rainey and Demps into the lineup. They were a perfect compliment to the power running of Tebow. Because of that loss, that team will never quite get the historical respect it deserves. Top 5 all time team in my opinion. No weaknesses whatsoever.

He is, and will always be, my all time favorite Gator. He's one of a kind that I feel lucky to have seen play in a Gator uniform.

I had tears in my eyes when I mentally said goodbye to him at the Sugar Bowl. The years with Danny and Spurrier were awesome too, but the Tebow years were special in a lot of different ways. He was (and is) just such a fundamentally great human being and it just felt so GOOD to root for him.

Every time I watch The Promise, I always get teary eyed because I can feel his emotion.

Same thing with his half time speech in the championship game against OU.

Ugh that Ole Miss team didn't even deserve to be on the same field with that team. Sure, they were good by Ole Miss standards but look at how many NFL players we had on that team... The game shouldn't have been close.. Im mad right now thinking about it lol

It certainly did. The thing that gets me is how he seems to have fallen in the eyes of some Gator fans because he didn't pan out in the NFL. He walked on water until he stopped scoring touchdowns for us.

I'll never believe the Jets gave him a fair shot. He languished on the bench behind a crappy starting QB as his confidence eroded and his passing ability regressed. He's the kind of guy who has to get in the game to stay sharp. His propensity to hit the snooze alarm until midway through the fourth quarter is duly noted, but it isn't etched in stone that he couldn't have changed that.

I'm not bitter at the Broncos for trading him or the Pats for cutting him. Elway has no love for the Gators or any reason to. Trading Tim and getting Peyton Manning was a solid business decision. The Patriots gave him a shot when nobody else would, but by the time he got to New England, he had regressed and his passing was truly bad.

Regardless, nothing that happened after he walked off the field at the end of the 2010 Sugar Bowl matters to his Gator legend.

the team had been playing with their heads in their you-know-whats up to that point

if we squeaked by and won that game, tim doesnt make that speech, and the team continues to sleepwalk and eventually stumbles somewhere down the line

    imo

Wasn't there a pass maybe to Harvin on that final possession that was a sure touchdown but just overthrown that would have won the game? It was a strange game as I think we kind of imploded on turnovers and the D gave up a couple of huge pass plays.

That was the best team Ole Miss has put on the field since Archie Manning's day. It was disappointing to lose to them, but it wasn't an embarrassment, either. We needed to bring our A game that day and we didn't.

He missed two open receivers on the same drive. I can't remember who it was though and I'm sure not watching that game again.

I had DVR issues and ended up not being able to see the last 5 minutes of that game. I consider myself lucky!
