Baton Rouge isn't really a po'boy hot bed like New Orleans. There's lots of places with a decent po'boy, but if I had to recommend one place I'd go with George's.

Georges for sure, but a bit far from campus for the walkers. The Chimes has a really good shrimp po-boy.

I heard this before, but it was not my experience at all. This was few years ago when we beat them at night. No one was inviting at all at their tailgates. Good weather and I gotta say I wasn't that impressed with their tailgating.

All that said Im gonna try to make it this weekend. I will try the N.O. Gator Club car that should make it much more fun.

To funny! I was at that game in 93 as well. I remember we drove over to Gonzalez and found the hotel our players were staying in. Much different accomodations then they stay in these days:) We killed them that game. Great years and great times:)

Death Valley is much better at night! Been there 4x with 3 at night. Very different, but IMO the best college football atmosphere....UF included...fans are generally cool but they are Cajuns, they will fight! So you gotta be prepared to take it...but I have experienced wht others have talked about and invited into tailgates to eat, drink, whatever...it's just an impressive place. Good luck getting out of there after the game traffic jams are monumental in BR. The whole experience is awesome...

Don't show your a$$ and be prepared to be called tiger bait. They also have a freight train that cuts across campus the fans like to jump on after a big win. See 1997 win over UF.

    - their fans don't hate you as much as it sounds like when they're yelling at you, that's just the Cajun in them it's just the way they know how to talk to people
    - the ones looking to fight don't hate GATOR fans, they would just as easily fight with LSU fans, they're just looking to fight
    - they yell "Taiga Bait!" at a higher frequency than our circus friends do the Atlanta Braves warchant; it will be funny at first, then you'll get sick of it, then some of their fans will get sick of it and start fighting with each other
    - they could have the worst gameday traffic of all the SEC schools, but that's also a testament to how early you have to get there to tailGATOR - they do it better than anybody else; if you're not in it for the tailGATORing, I recommend parking farther away and having an easier access for departure
    - the loudest game I've been to (start to finish) was the LSU game in 1997; 3rd and 10 was insanely loud as was the block against Carolina in '06; the 1997 game against SWAC was an incredible atmosphere, but the loudest game I've been to was the game in Baton Rouge in 1997. It was like the country's hatred for Steve Spurrier was all concentrated in Red Stick for 3.5 hours; most of the country was happy after that game. Not happy about the game result, but I can appreciate a good crowd...and that was the best crowd I've ever seen at a game.

    Go GATORS!

Great place to watch an SEC game. Fans are fine, just talk smack back at them. If your thin skinned and timid they will feed off that. I have always gotten food at their tailgates.

You, sir, missed your calling, unless you're Seinfeld in disguise.
    Love it.
