All of the speculation was that it would be for 3 games and now that Billy D is beginning to talk about this some,

I wonder if the penalty included the Florida Southern exhibition as one of the three?

I hope so! I can't wait to see those two suit up. Especially DFS

If Harris is injury free, he will not only be a force defensively, but allow Patric to play all out knowing that for the first time since his freshman year, he doesn't have to worry about fouls

Why all the secrecy/uncertainty on these suspensions?

Is it known for certain that the nature of the offense is something that falls under this category?

It was drugs for Wilbiken, but I don't think it was pot

No body know what the offense was, even for Scotty. Everyone is projecting it to be drug tests. All student athlete related offenses are protected. It really isn't our business. At least Billy doesn't put a fake "boot" on the player like Urban did.

Last thing Billy said was that he would evaluate those players this week to see if they had done what he had required them to do, whatever that is. So he made it sound possible they would play in the next game. But not definitely one way or the other.

Perhaps the evaluation is to see if they took enough Golden Seal to produce a clean urine sample?

This has always been the plan for the year. I think your point about Harris being healthy and ready to play is overlooked because Donovan said he was way out of shape two weeks ago. Regardless, Harris has enough of a jumper that he can play alongside Young, too, meaning fewer minutes of the Young-Yeguete-Prather front line, which has really hurt our spacing, post up opportunities, driving lanes, etc.

I'm just thinking in terms of bodies for Kentucky. I really like that we will be able to run Patrick, Harris, WY and eventually/hopefully Walker at Randall.

We will match up very well with anyone in the country down low.

So it was an internal test, because all legal matter are supposed to be public.

Well, legal matters are in the public domain. But they are usually made "public" by hard-working journalists who check to see the arrest records for famous names. There is not obligation for the University to make public a legal matter. Though it may be in their best interest to do so in some instances.

Yes, it was internal. Which means it could have been skipping classes, failing a school's drug test, skipping mandatory workouts, skipping study sessions, etc.

Give the kids a break. They transferred here and probably got introduced to the Gainesville green that college kids usually experiment with. I've heard the culture of our present generation are very accepting to marijuana use and experimentation. With the misconception that it is becoming "legal" in some states for recreational use, kids are desensitizing the consequences of misdemeanor possession charges. Not sure if having college athletes chiefin on the cheeba is such a good idea. However, if that means they are staying in their rooms, playing video games and munching on junk food instead of driving drunk or using more serious drugs, then I'm all for forgiveness.

Bingo..posted as much in the game thead when people were bashing PY...right now he cannot play all out with the passion/intensity that makes him very good...once Harris is back, he can, and we will see a better, more effiecient PY

I presume the suspension for Finney-Smith and Harris include this week end's game---or else they would be practicing differently.

At least two of the three are for a non-performance enhancing drug occasionally used by 80% of the student body and is legal in two states. I can see colleges testing for performance enhancers, but pot? That's such retarded, old-school dogma.
