    Agree.
When you hold the whip hand (saban), they've got to come to YOU to keep you. Let them name a number.

My only question: if Saban moves to Texas, does Paul move also? Their relationship reminds me of Michael Jordan and Ahmad Rashad.

Exactly....NEVER, EVER follow a legend (along with never chase a puncher, never get involved in a land war in Asia, and never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line). You want to be held to Saban's standard and NOT be Saban? Ooooof.
You want to be the guy AFTER the guy who followed the legend.

It's an insane statement for some of the diehards here to say that Jimbo is a mediocre coach. Compare (this is only a partial list):

    Coach---------------------School-------------Three Years Prior---------Coach Following---Difference

    Bear Bryant...........................Alabama..................4-24-2 (.167)....................232-46-9 (.824)................+.658

    Mark Dantonio......................Michigan State.........14-21 (.400).........................63-29 (.685).................+.285

    Haydn Fry.............................Iowa..........................12-21 (.363)........................143-89-6 (.614).............+.251
    Jimbo Fisher.........................Florida State.............23-16 (.590)..........................44-10 (.815).................+.225
    Lou Holtz...............................Notre Dame..............14-16 (.543).......................100-30-2 (.765).............+.222

    Chip Kelly..............................Oregon......................26-13 (.666).........................46-7 (.867)....................+.201
    Greg Schiano.........................Rutgers.....................10-23 (.303).........................68-67 (.504)..................+.201
    David Shaw............................Stanford....................25-13 (.657).........................35-6 (.854)....................+.197

The way FSU looks, Jimbo's numbers will rise substantially on this list in only a couple of years. Remember also that he wasn't taking over a Duke, Baylor or Vandy, FSU didn't have a losing record the three years prior to his taking over. The notion that Fisher hasn't done a great job is patently absurd. The idea that he is a mediocre coach is flat stupid. The way his team is going, he can't be mediocre or even average.

If Saban leaves for UT, look for Ole Bucknut himself to make the move to the gumps.

It's because Jimbo is not a great coach. Every season he has been FSU coach they have underachieved (except this one) despite a soft creampuff schedule and keep in mind that Jimbo was HCIW for 3 seasons before officially taking over as HC so he already had all of his players in place when he took over as coach. Once his super QB leaves he will go back to normal. I think AU will beat FSU and expose Jimbo for the coach he is.

Right.. he can recruit, but he plays a very soft schedule. How good would Zook have done, should he have been coaching in the ACC, with his ability to recruit? Hypothetical I know, but I would say at least as well , if not better.

How did FSU underachieve when they went 12-2 in 2012?

FSU's schedule didn't get softer from 2001-2009 and 2010 through 2013, so that argument is false. Jimbo had no input whatsoever on defense until he took over the reins. Jimbo went 10-4, 9-4 and 12-2 without a super QB. Why you think he is a poor coach is baffling.

I can take that on step further and wonder how well Zook would have done in 2005 with a soft creampuff schedule and a loaded, experienced team for the first time at Florida? Meyer came at a good time, and if he would have been able to swallow his ego and keep Fedora as OC for two more years, he might have earned a third crystal trophy, as the defenses in 2005 and 2006 were STRONG!

I would think the Texas A&M and Mizzou experiences would finally dispel the nonsensical notion that OOC teams would struggle if they were in the SEC, while SEC teams would dominate if they were in another conference. Is that the only argument some of you have? It's not very strong.

Sorry, ACC is much weaker than it was in early 2000s. It's easier to coach when you only have 2 games to concentrate on a year. What happened to Bama proves this. It's also easier when you can recruit big bad boys who feel they can get away with rape and who knows what else. Bottom line, I would not want him at Florida, even if he never coached at the girls school.

    LMAO at the Twerking
Saban is ALL about the $$$$$$ and the glory! I hope he stays and we beat them along with some other teams as well.
If he does leave, they will name Kirby Smart the new coach.
Jimbo coaches in a terrible conference and won this year with the "alleged" rapist Winston. He needs to stay at f$u and retire there. :p
And finally FineBum is a joke.

My reply to this is "ACC". Nothing more needs to be said. If you want to learn something about Dumbo, check out the nc state game from last year. Watch that game and tell me how impressed you are with him then.

An unfortunate byproduct of Bama's success. It is simply suckling on the teat of the college fb money machine. They were all whores for the big ten until we exposed that conference. Now that Alabama fb has inexplicably taken over (mainly because those goobers have nothing else), Paul Finebaum and the Alabama freakshow are center stage.

    Fredo is Terry Bowden.
Finebaum is more like Jack Woltz.
What the Bama people have on him I don't know.
