Agree on UT, not on USC. He's just about worked himself out of a job there.
Too early to tell at USC????
Boom isn't going anywhere...so you guys stop the coach guessing. We are fixing to go 11-1 or 10-2 this year btw.
If boom goes, I want a D minded coach who loves to run the ball and eat up clock. :lie:
easier to win at UT if you get their recruits playing well....they really only deal with OU when both programs are elite
where as in the SEC any of 6 schools in a given year can ruin an epic season....see 2012
I love how so many UF fans think Muschamp would never leave. Yeah right, just like Meyer. UF is a great job, but Texas can pay a lot more and arguably is a more prestigious program with better facilities.
and wins the TOP battle
lol I know you're kidding...but if he leaves, I want someone like Petrino. Offenses are more difficult to develop than a defense. We want to put up big points again and make offense exciting. Petrino could easily do that
Difference is Champ is a man, straight shooter, takes responsibility for what he does and has the respect of his players.
Kiffy? well that's a whole different story
Don't get me wrong, I agree. Just passing on what Colin was saying. You know he's had a crush on Kiffin for a while now... Not surprised he's unable to be objective here.
What about Sumlin? I'd think they would give him a long look.
Sumlin is not going to leave A&M for another college gig.....
Too early. USC is 2-1 thus far, and could have at most 2-3 losses. Of course, if he loses more, then he is out of there.
I suspect Kiffy's resume has already been sent to Austin.
The thing to worry about is not whether WM replaces Mack Brown. It is whether Mack Brown becomes athletic director this year after the current AD retires (he has denied he is but there is a report that he has already announded on the inside). There are two camps in Texas. One wants Mack Brown to easily transition from head football coach to AD. The other wants the best athletic director they can get. Who do they want? There are indications that the Texas president favors Jeremy Foley. And who was the last person who hired WM? Stay tuned. It could get interesting.
WM was the HCIW and was paid (and thought of) very well at Texas. So, they clearly wanted him to be the HC at some point. Yes, part of the whole HCIW deal was intended to keep him at UT as DC and not take a HC job somewhere else. He did though and now has HC experience. If the UT job does open up why would Texas not still want him to be the HC?
Who is "we"? Foley? Or the GC boards?
He just left UT as coach in waiting and he has no other affiliation to Texas. This is just a stupid rumor to get people to listen to them.
Im not naive, maybe there is a job Muschamp would leave us for but I doubt its Texas.
Well I guess its a rumor now. :sigh:
