While we'll obviously have better things to do at that time, this might not be a terrible game, actually.

WKU beat UK. While that probably doesn't mean a ton given how terrible UK is, it will tell us a whole lot more than that Austin-Peay game.

Yep. I think we ran the same play against AP like 25 times. Not much to go off of even for a UT fan.

Just my thoughts on this years team so far. (Not that any of you really care)

Worley was efficient numbers wise, but his passes were often behind the WRs.

Our OL is very good, as most people knew.

Our RB talent and depth is serviceable.

Our young WRs are very inexperienced but very talented.

Our first team defensive front seven seems to be above average, but we have a significant drop off from to the second team guys, especially at LB.

We have good starters and depth at the safety position.

We have a solid starter at CB on one side and a true freshman on the other side, and very little depth behind them.

No penalties was probably the biggest thing I took away from that game. Seemed like a disciplined, well coached ball team for the first time in several years.

Actually an intriguing game. Almost like a car accident on the side of the road as you are driving by. Should you look? I'm kinda curious to see what happens.

I just remembered that Bray is no longer there.

Going to be an interesting setup with a very talented o-line and a QB that's still relatively wet behind the ears.

We took the time to get the info and post this game thread because the Gators game with Tennessse is the 3rd one of the season for UF. And that might make the WKU UT game one of interest for us certainly more than if it took place later in the Fall after the UF UT game had been played. So for Gators watching the UF UM game on TV this Saturday, they can check out the Vols during those long ESPN commercial breaks.

Not on offense, but he did play significant snaps in the slot. He was our starting punt returner, though.

I'll be taping this one .. it could be close. Bobby's boys will score some points .. but Tennessee will wear them down in the fourth quarter.

    35 - 17 Tennessee.

WKU will give them all they can handle. UT will struggle stopping the pass and I think WKU will have success attacking the edge running the ball. UT will have success running but I expect Worley to struggle and the game to be tight in the 3rd.

There is no info on this yet and I'm not sure it will come very soon. At least not until after this weeken. First, the Gators are off the following Saturday, Sept. 14th.. Yeah, I know, I don't like a bye week so early in the season either. The UF UT game will be on Sept. 21st. The Vols will be playing at Oregon on Sept. 14th, going up against "the Quack Attack". And yes, we plan on doing a game thread for that. But anyway, I would think that CBS would possibly wait until later next week to decide. If either UF (Heaven forbid) or UT would lose this Saturday, that might lessen the chances for the UF UT game getting the prime 3:30 PM CBS kickoff. Time will tell, we may have to wait a little bit.

Only other SEC game on 9/21 is LSU/Auburn. Personally I'd like to get the ESPN night game, been a long time since we've been under the lights at home.

The rest of the SEC slate that weekend is awful. Auburn-LSU is the only other in-conference game.

    Missouri at Indiana
    SMU at Texas A&M
    Colorado State at Alabama
    Arkansas at Rutgers
    Auburn at LSU
    Tennessee at Florida
    Vanderbilt at UMass
    North Texas at Georgia
    Troy at Mississippi State

I see very little chance of us not being on CBS that weekend.
