I don't see it happening for Vandy, but stranger things have happened.

As I recall, they were on the verge of winning last year before a totally BS penalty killed them at the end of the game.

If the Commodores did win I guess it would be the biggest upset so far in this new season.

For the record a stranger thing did happen and it wasn't that long ago. In the entire inept history of Vanderbilt football they have two victories on the road against ranked teams and one of them was over Spurrier's Cocks 17-6 in Columbia in 2007. The other was a 24-22 win over Georgia in Athens in 2006. Both of those wins came under Bobby Johnson who left a decent nucleus behind and has gotten no credit for it. Everybody just wants to lick Franklin's sack... Spurrier won't let that happen again - Cocks win 42-24.

It may stay close for awhile but I think SC will start pulling away in the 3rd Qtr.

Time for Clowney to show up. Cant see SC losing 2 in a row, especially with this game being in Columbia.

Would an upset be shutting the Dores on the Cocks?

Personally, I'd rather see Vandy win. Get the Cocks out of the picture immediately...

Exactly. It's all about Atlanta, and we are still undefeated in SEC play.

2007 at South Carolina same as tomorrow. Vandy beat them 17-6. They have only two road wins ever vs ranked opponents. SC was grossly overrated at the time and collapsed however. I don't think they played in a bowl that year.

Vandy also has a losing record against every team in the SEC except... Auburn! Tell that to a Tiger fan the next time they get cocky with you.
