Todd, does the Ducks also have a new coaching staff, or did they hire from within?

Personally, I hope you guys win for conference pride, mainly because I'm sick and tired of hearing nolie fans down here in Tally talking down the SEC.

Really don't hate any SEC teams. On all their OOC games like to see them get wins. Besides, I remember what Spurrier said to Gators back in the 90s: We want everyone to hate us. If they like us, then that means they are beating us all the time. If they hate us, then that means we're beating them all the time.
SOS always had a way of making the point all the time.

Or like most whipped dogs...they won't be looking for the next fight.

I think the best thing for us is for the ducks to crush UT. The less confidence and self belief...the better.

Ray, I always thought SOS had an "us against the world" mentality in order to fire up his players. There are several coaches who win 70+% of their games year after year, and they are not hated. Personally, I would rather be respected than hated...

Actually it was both and you are right also.

As you mentioned his comments were aimed at his players. That was the attitude he wanted them to have. Work hard, get the wins, so your opponents respect you.

The remarks he made that I was referring to was aimed at the Gator fan base. Such as when you often see posted on here of Gators having a strong dislike or ever hated for some of our rivals. That if we hate them it is pretty much related to some disappointing wins we may have had to them over the years. And that means they love playing the Gators. They win. However, when we start often beating them then it is them that are going to start hating the Gators. So, beat them, and have fun doing it. And let them hate losing to the Gators.

Don't know but it ticks me off. Wife and in-laws (visiting) are Duck fans so they'll be watching the game. I, while generally rooting for the Ducks, want to see the aTm-Bama game. I've also been instructed that I am not allowed to bring a second TV into the living room...

This might be a chance to scout the Vols but Oregon's offense is night and day compared to ours it's not even worth it outside of scouting their impact players. Sigh.

UT should stay close in the first half, but the Ducks speed and depth will end the game.

Well, here's the solution. Go to your bedroom or any other room in your home where you have another TV in your house and watch the Tide Aggie game. Problem solved.

I was going to post that you need to man up and put your wife and your in-laws in their place, and that you need to tell them how it is...and to stop being a wuss.....

....but then my wife just walked in and I'm scared she'll read it so....I decided not to tell you all that. :ninja:

No more angry than UF after losing to an inferior Miami team, having two weeks to stew about it, and with something to prove.

We aint losing to UT at home next weekend.
