He's been a member of this board longer than you.
Nope. UC-Davis. They gave up 296 yards to UC-Davis. About 50 more yards than what we gave up to Jax State last year.
Two weeks, when most teams are playing FCS schools as warmup games, are not accurate barometers. In 2009, we averaged 644 yards per game our first two games. We averaged 370 yards against SEC competition the rest of the year, and the SEC's defenses were not particularly strong in 2009...
Sweet. Nevada's got a solid D. Or is it sorry like I originally stated?
See, I'm still trying to figure out why you quoted my first post. I never mentioned UF, Toledo, or Miami. I simply said Nevada's D was sorry. Still upset I don't think VT is worth a shit? I watched them play ECU today and I still don't and I still think Beamer's on the downslide.
Also, if you're really nuts enought to think Miami's D is as bad as Nevada's as you implied, bet me that they give up 62 pts to the Noles as well, or just please put me on ignore.
Actually, put me on ignore regardless.
I appreciate your perspective Capt. - thanks for posting.
If Fisher can't win at least one national title with JW as starter, he should be fired.
What I saw was your typical fsu team today that struggled most of the first half against a patsy that lost it's starting QB in the second quarter and then finally blew them out with better athletes when Nevada ran out of gas.
fsu's defense is suspect, especially to the run. Clemson is going to have a field day against that nole defense IMO.
It's Nevada, and next week it's "mighty" Bethune Cookman.
Hundley had 11 incompletions in his game against Nevada. Point? Completing 93% and then 83% in your first two games is impressive, regardless of the opponent. Not even top NFL prospects do that.
Not implying he should be crowned or anything. Just think the notion of "it's against so and so" is overplayed when talking about certain achievements. Throwing against air and being that in-sync is tough enough.
So he's the #1 pick if he could come out this year.
Nope. Nice strawman though.
I didn't say Miami's D. I said Toledo's. Learn to read. And frankly, I would want us to play VT right now. Very low-scoring game.
No ignore, though. Just laugh at your prognostications and evaluation of "talent." Anyone who says VT sucked for years obviously is clueless...
Filtered Black a long time ago 40. He's a nole troll who shows up during football season and funny thing, he vanished right after UF smacked fsu around in Doak last year too.
Could we put up 62 on Nevada's sorry defense?
Probably got banned
Amazing how so many newbies are paying attention to me after I got into the thread and whammied on fsu.
Hey douche. No mention of my Miami? I need to learn to read? My comprehension is fine and I'm no more clueless than the person responsible for the quoted statement above.
Why don't you quit following me around.
Put it this way, if that kid keeps throwing like that and they don't get back to the BCS game, Fisher WILL be fired. He's fresh out of excuses now.
Now we're calling names!
Get a grip. Or you can put me on ignore...
Outside of his interception, I didn't see any bad plays on Winston's part. He has an insanely good touch on the ball. I don't think I've seen anyone in recent years who can throw a pass that goes over a linebacker and then drops perfectly to the receiver.
On the positive side, Nevada was able to get some solid runs right up the gut of FSU's defense. Pitt did the same thing. It'll be interesting to see if that is a season long trend.
