Winston with only 3 incompletions so far.
Nevada is worse than both of those by a good margin.
And I wasn't comparing UF to fsu - I know we have issues.
again. I'll be impressed if he does this against a real defense.
No one is saying the kid is bad. But the drooling over him from everyone is silly.
I'm happy that FSU is winning this game like it is expected of a Top 10 even after coming out extremely flat. Glad this game didn't turn into a game like the Michigan vs Akron game.
Really excited to see more of Karlos Williams as a RB.
We don't care what a nole has to think. Nice of you to show up when the game is in hand. Don't you have your own board to hype your team on?
No they aren't? Last year, Nevada was ranked 69th in total defense, while Toledo was ranked 109th. Both played essentially the same level of competition. Both returned about the same number of starters. They averaged 400 yards allowed against two teams, Florida and Mizzou, who are not known for strong offenses (103d and 96th in the nation, respectively).
Nevada's offense was also better than Toledo's last year, and both return a similar number of starters.
It's not the Nevada without Karpernick.
and they have a 3rd string QB.
I've been on this board a long, long time. It's a public board and a game thread on the team I follow. Don't like reading FSU fans comments, then skip them.
seems silly that you are posting on a game thread on a florida board during your game instead of your own board.
I have multiple tabs open on my browser. I can do both.
Sweet. Right now, this year, Nevada is ranked in the 100's in total D and falling after fsu. Miami is in the top 40 and Toledo is in the 70's.
But, your obviously a stat history guy and I'm not.
The Nevada defense might not be very good, but their punter is REALLY good.
They are saying Coker outplayed Winston in camp?
If that's the case then he is transferring.
I cannot help but laugh at the idea of using statistical rankings after two games. Nevada played a ranked UCLA team with a powerful offense, while Toledo played two weak offensive teams.
Let's wait a few weeks before we start counting national rankings...
You're right. You don't understand statistics at all. How else can you explain your baffling definitions of what constitutes talent?
Maybe he can transfer to uf
So far I'm like Ray Charles when it comes to Coker outplaying JW.
I just don't see it happening.
That is what the reports were. Apparently Fisher had the defense blitz the crap out of both QB's and Coker handled the pressure better than Winston. Fisher went with Winston because his ceiling was higher and had the "It Factor".
Coker might transfer but he have to sit a year next year. If he stays and Winston goes pro after next year, he could still start his senior year.
Ok, tell me when I can use stats. 2 weeks in seems more relevant than last year. Like I said, I'm not a stat officianado like you. By the way, who was Nevadas second oponent to offset the tough UCLA game? BCS team? I have no idea.
Nevada playing with a third string qb. Sigh...
