I love the aggressiveness of Strong's defense. He was much more conservative when he was SC's DC. Of course that could have been Holtz holding him back. Back then he was more "bend but don't break"

I don't get the hype around this Morris guy. Feels like every big game I watch him in he's making pretty bad decisions. Yet he's on people's draft boards.

To many think all you need is size and a strong arm to play QB. It's why so many failures get drafted.

From what I've read, he's a late round pick.

He's not prototype size (6'2", 218) and struggles to deal with blitz's. Decision making, like you said, is very suspect.

Somewhere in the backwoods of Arkansas Randy Shannon can be heard muttering about this blowout "It helped us more than you'll ever know."

Yeah, Russell Wilson is too short to ever make a good NFL QB.

Guess that was a million dollar performance by Bridgewater. Can't believe the talking head saying he should come back next year to bulk up. Why not do that while earning boat loads of money? He's a top three pick.

What we're seeing here is the guy (Charlie Strong), I was hoping we'd hire this year as our new HBC putting together another solid bowl game. His UL teams always seem prepared for the post season. His team might have lost to UCF earlier this year, but it was extremely close and UCF is also a good, solid team and it was just one of those games where big plays and offense played the part.

Needless to say, UL was in it right at the end too.

Good defense, good offense, good special teams, properly and well-developed QB's and WR's... this is what a good HBC does.

That's the score UF should have beaten the 'Canes back in September if we didn't have a head coach who values TOP above all else and fails to grasp the inportance of scoring more than 21 points a game.

    Nice win by Strong.

It just occurred to me that THREE former Gator coaches were just one win away from being in the NC hunt this year.

Well done Charley Strong and his UL Cardinals! I loved watching UM gets its collective butt kicked! I think some lucky program is going to snap up Charley Strong and he will be a winner wherever he goes!

Charlie Strong is a class act. Great recruiter. It could be argued that SC's rise started with him as DC. That was his first chance at being a DC, and it's obvious he is still constantly improving his game.

So I know Bridgewater could probably make even me look like a genius at OC, but Shawn Watson seems to be a pretty good coach. His previous spot at Nebraska didn't exactly set the woods on fire. Sounds to me like coach Strong is not only a good coach and recruiter, but maybe pretty special at choosing talented coaches and letting them develop.

Just remember: Miami was the SWAC's other "signature" win -- along with Clemson.
