Little disappointed that the College Game Day guys were not at the game site this morning. At least for a couple of hours for this all time classic game.

Stand Navy down the field, sails set to the sky.
We'll never change our course, so Army you steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll up the score, Navy, Anchors Aweigh.
Sail Navy down the field and sink the Army, sink the Army Grey.

    GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!

One of the few days of the year when Marines actually cheer for the Navy! USMC 2005-2009.

    Go Navy!

I usually root for Navy, as my brother is a career officer. (I don't have a dog in the fight since I was in the Air Force.) But after a decade of Navy dominance, I'm really hoping that the Cadets finally win one and restore a shred of balance to the rivalry.

For now - GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!

Aflac trivia - Which two schools have had a Heisman winner, a Naismith winner and a U.S. President? Answer in white right here --> Navy (Heisman - Joe Bellino and Roger Staubach; Naismith - David Robinson; President Jimmy Carter) and Michigan (Heisman - Tom Harmon, Desmond Howard and Charles Woodson; Naismith - Trey Burke; President Gerald Ford)

Have Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson done their last SEC broadcast game together? Next year ESPN has the SEC rights with their new contract starting in 2014...so CBS won't have our games anymore, right?

    Another year, another Navy win.

I love this game. I love the "take no prisoners" intensity, followed by the superb sportsmanship when it is over.

Yes, it's the honoring of each other's team after the game that makes this game just way above any other... as well as knowing these men will be going overseas shortly to defend our right to our freedoms, including playing and watching football.

God bless them all, but as my son and daughter-in-law are both Naval Academy grads, GO NAVY! Glad we beat Army!
