What would have happened with the BCS selection if either of these teams had been unbeaten?

Going forward, a selection committee made up of some very patriotic folks will never snub an undefeated Army, Navy, or Air Force. Army hasn't gone unbeaten since 1949 under Red Blaik, Navy not since 1926, and Air Force not since 1958. How could you leave them out?

I get that, I was just throwing out a hypothetical because I'm tired of our OC search that no one has any insight into, the botched investigation of the rapist out west and who is going to be the next coach at texas even though the job isnt open.

Now THAT'S a real football game. God Bless those kids and all who serve/d honorably.
    Go Navy!
I wonder if Niimatalolo is getting any phone calls? He seems solid, proven track record at a tough place for recruiting footballers. As young men tho, they are the best of the best, on both teams.

As far as I know, it's the only 1AA college football game on this Saturday. The last one before the Bowls begin.

    Go Air Force!

My brother who has passed on was watching the Army-Navy game two years ago and I asked him who he was cheering for. He said, Air Force as he was in that branch of the service.

I am now a huge Air Force fan also.

The Army-Navy game was moved to the empty weekend following the weekend of the conference championship games a few years ago. This was done so the game wouldn't get lost in the shuffle and to get more exposure/viewers.

Both teams are currently FBS independents. Navy is joining the AAC in 2015 for football only and will continue to compete in the Patriot League in other sports. Football scheduling was starting to become an issue. Navy will keep the ND, Army and AF games as part of their OOC schedule.

Both Navy (7-4) and Army (3-8) are option teams. Navy is led by sophomore QB Keenan Reynolds who has rushed for 1124 yards and 26 TDs and passed for 1088 yards and 8 TDs and was named the Male Athlete of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Columbus. Army is 6th in rushing with 3560 yards and 33 TDs, and Navy is 7th with 3521 yards and 43 TDs.

Navy will play in their 10th bowl in 11 seasons on Dec 30th in the Armed Forces Bowl vs Middle Tennessee State (8-4).

Navy players had their final exams this week. Army has theirs next week.

The Naval Academy Athletic Association is a 501(c)(3) corporation and not funded by the government. I mention this because I realize many people believe their tax dollars fund this operation but that is not the case. AF and Army are not funded this way.

Here is what the USNA class of 2014 will be doing after they graduate:
    Matt Aiken Surface Warfare
    Casey Bolena Surface Warfare
    Travis Bridges Surface Warfare
    Barry Dabney Surface Warfare
    Albrey Felder Surface Warfare
    Justin Haan Marine Corps Pilot
    Brantley Horton Marine Corps Ground
    Michael Huf Surface Warfare
    Shawn Lynch Naval Flight Officer
    Eric Mahler Naval Flight Officer
    Hayden Maples Marine Corps Ground
    Evan Palelei Marine Corps Ground
    Cody Peterson Marine Corps Ground
    Wave Ryder Navy Pilot
    DJ Sargenti Marine Corps Ground
    Darius Staten Supply Corps
    Thomas Stone Supply Corps
    Marcus Thomas Marine Corps Ground
    Michel Tuimavave Surface Warfare
    Matthew Van Halanger Surface Warfare
    Graham Vickers Surface Warfare
    Sam Womack Marine Corps Ground

Let me finish with Go NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
