It's 69 and Partly Sunny in Columbia.

Mississippi State won the Toss and deferred. Of course Spurrier took the Opening Kickoff. :)

Prescott is a poor man's, right handed Tebow. He certainly looks like a great fit in the Mullin offense

What a cupcake schedule SCar has. Only tough road game was Georgia and they they lose. Other road game, UT, they lose. Avoid Texas AM, LSU and Alabama from the west.

My goodness, Coach Dan Mullen's anger on the sideline in the last minute in the 2nd Qtr made anything I've seen with Muschamp on the sidelines seem like our coach was a polite little Boy Scout! I doubts any of us have ever seen Mullen that agitated! Would not be surprised if he fires his special team's coach. What a mess the Bulldogs made!

So what is your point? How is that SC's fault? You do realize that schedules are rotated each year, right? We got beat by Mizzou on the road, but SC won.

Did you check their schedule last year? How about the year before? Or the year before that? Want to talk easy schedules, then Georgia should be mentioned in that category.

South Carolina won 34-16. USC's offense has been struggling all season long, and versus Arkansas looked like they may be getting it all together, but I'm thinking they'll just never be a full 4-quarter offense this season for some reason. They have excellent 1st and 3rd quarters offensively, but "pooped" around the field in the 2nd and 4th stanzas. MSU IMO had the more consistent offense in terms of moving the ball for long sustained drives and converting 3rd downs, but they killed themselves with 5 turnovers, which the Gamecocks pretty much scored on every one of them.

Looking at the offensive stat sheet without knowing the final score or turnover count, I'd bet Coach Mullins would've thought his Bulldogs had won the game. Instead they lost 34-16....

USC is now as healthy almost as a team could be and heading into a bye week for UF. Cody Waldrop (the starting Center heading into the season) was still kept out of the game with a gimpy high ankle sprain, but he's apparently very close to returning. #2 RB Brandon Wilds (hyper-extended elbow) dressed for today's game but was kept as an "emergency" option, and ended up not playing: he's on the verge of returning to full strength. QB Shaw could use the bye week to strengthen his knee, as could OG Patrick, DTs Quarles and Dixon Jr., and #1 RB Mike Davis could all use the time to heal up their various dings and bruises...

WR Shaq Roland led the Gamecocks with 2 catches for 57 yds and 2 TDs. He had been USC's leading receiver earlier in the season before being suspended for 3 gms for "violation of school policy". I didn't mention him in my above post about the USC WRs because he had missed so much time this season I felt he may have cut a great season off at the knees. But he stepped up today, and gives Shaw and Spurrier 4 legitimate wideout targets (with Ellington, Byrd, and Jones) the rest of the season, provided the offense can get going...

MSU's QB gift-wrapped that game for them. They should have called it after three quarters when SC was up by 24. Spurrier was using the wildcat for a good part of the 4th quarter. Boring! Maybe he likes Mullen.
