ISU qb is an idiot
what the hell was he doing running the ball with no time outs?
Throw the ball away...good grief.
Not that I think the refs wouldn't have thrown a flag at some point to prevent a FG try.
Brown looks like a sad old desperate washed up coach.
Meh, if you're a longhorn hater like me, this is a good thing. I hope Mack goes 8-4 for the next decade. Just enough to keep his job and UT mired in mediocraty.
Oh well, I feel better that Iowa State had the chance to win and blew it.
I don't know why Mack is liked. He has only won the Big 12 twice? And can't win anything without Vince young.
Cause he is. The walking dead. he'll be n a home n 5 years
Is he a walker on the upcoming season?
I wonder how the Texas vs Oklahoma game will go
We'll, unless the same horrible Big12 officials are used in that game, the Sooners should win easily.
ISU got screwed huge in the fumble 'review'. ISU player who stole the ball was in for 6 and game was without question over at that point. But NOOOOOOOooooooooooo---BIG12 refs just wouldn't let that happen. Can't let Texas lose. Sounds like some good old cowboy home cooking just to keep Long Horn nation happy.
Yeah...I'm pissed. And I don't have any skin in this game at all...just hate to see a team get totally robbed like ISU was on that one play.
That was a criminal game. Three big penalties on the last drive, plus a missed fumble.
Some of you guys wanted Muschamp when he was hired by Foley to bring Major Applewhite with him to be our OC. What has he done the last 3 years for Texas?
The defender had the ball and was 5 yards heading the other way before ANY whistle was blown to signal the "momentum" was stopped. .... complete HOSE job by the (Big Whatever # they wannabe) refs
Hate on Texas all you want, but it's patently ridiculous to be complaining about the PI calls and the facemask when the replays clearly showed all of them were the right calls.
Granted, the fumble was 50-50, but given the way it was called on the field (perhaps wrongly), the video evidence was hard to prove one way or the other.
I agree on the flags....BUT the fumble was totally blown!!! "The call on the field" was down by contact. .... which when reviewed CLEARLY shows that the runner was never down and still fighting for yards when the defender took the ball,, and as I said before there was no whistle to indicate the momentum was stopped... BLOWN CALL and really piss poor review ref in the booth
The facemask yes, but the first PI was way overthrown and incidental contact. The last could have gone either way plus, if you look at it, I think the WR might have stepped out before the ball got there.
And the fumble wasn't close. You might think forward progress was stopped, but that's not what the call was.
is applewhite the new coach in waiting? texas will want to hire one of their own.
I don't recall this being a common sentiment at all.
Even so, kind of weird given UT's offensive rankings:
... All of which are significantly better than what we've done in that time. I'm not saying he's better, but on paper he's done better.
