So are you pulling out the "refs are conspiring against poor Spurrier?" card? FAce it. USCe is not very good this year compared to the last two (and only the last two) years. Based on their recruiting, they should be an 8-4/7-5 team most years. They simply came upon a few diamonds that temporarily elevated their game.

Spurrier cannot win big at USCe without a strong defense. After nine years there, this is plainly evident. He is no Sumlin, Malzahn or Petrino...

thing is mike davis was successful running the ball in the 2nd half. he had 11 yard and 6 yard carries on his last two runs prior to that midfield series of downs. davis came out at that point and spurrier just didnt trust handing the ball off to the backup. awful decision, but at least theres an excuse there.

the next two possessions, davis gets one total carry. 21-20 lead with under 6 minutes left, 3 straight passes.

Since you base everything on recruiting. Can you please explain how Mizzou beat us today?

2010 Missouri finished 21'st while the Gators finished 2nd
    2011 48th UF 12
    2010 31'st UF 3

So by your analysis we should have ripped through Mizzou today, right?

You can't base every win and loss on recruiting. If you based everything on recruiting then Texas should be winning national titles every year, right?

Sometimes it actually comes down to coaching and executing plays.

Seriously? We are talking about a team that couldn't beat Florida even after knocking out their starting QB in the first quarter. There is nothing impressive about UT beating a bad USC team. But I will be willing to reevaluate should they show me something against Missouri or Alabama.

We get. Nobody in college football is as good of a recruiter, practice and gameday coach as Muschamp. All of us who are ready for a change are just jealous haters. We just can't see that everything that goes wrong is still Urban Myers fault. Having to beat a piss poor Southwestern Louisiana with a blocked punt & scoop and score in the final minute was not a cause for concern, nor the fact that those same coaches could not find a single weakness on that teams defense to exploit. Matter of fact, when was the last time in the last 3 seasons said coaching staff found a weakness and exploited it or identifed a mismatch and exploited it? Maybe when Minter went out hurt for LSU last season

Tenn is not going to beat either Alabama or Missouri but they are improving and I don't think South Carolina is a bad team (a bad defense maybe). Tennessee would have found a way to blow this game under Dooley.
