Seriously, why even bother playing the game. FSU has Jameis Winston, hence, NATIONAL TITLE.

I know. I thought about putting this title in the OP:

    "The ACC Championship Game."

Well, I know the media is really hyping this game! In a morning paper one columnist said it was the most important ACC game ever. So we'll see.

Most important ACC game ever. Like they said about the OU/FSU "game of the century?"

The media sure does love its hyperbole when talking up a bad conference

What do you expect them to do? More ratings = more $. Gotta pimp the crap out of this game.

    I hear ya though.

I can't believe I am saying this, but go tigers. One, the only redeeming factor of FSU is they only slightly suck less than Ohio State. Two, I want Clemson ranked three when they come to Columbia and play against the most underrated QB in the nation, who has never lost at home.

Clowney got overhyped by the media. Last time he played Clemson, he set the records for sacks in fake death valley. He's on record saying he will never lose to Clempson.

Don't feel bad, Cocky. That's the right answer. Never, ever, EVER does anyone who roots for the Gators, or simply visits a Gator board, root for Free Shoes U in any sport.

I remember some bad years long ago where if we only won a couple games all season -- but beat F$U -- it was still a pretty good year!

When the divisions were created the match-up the ACC wanted and expected was FSU-Miami playing for the title. Back then Clemson was a team that had some talent but always managed to screw up at inopportune times.

I can see that in the ACC...forgot about Miami(lol until this year)
But the Big 10 has been Osu/UM and everyone else for a LONG time.

Well, no doubt about it, the media does like to really hype at least a couple of games every year, You know, most important game ever, game of the season, game of the decade or game of the century etc.

My Dad, growing up in Dayton, Ohio, was a big Buckeye fan! It was either in the late 60s or early 70s, he was in a hospital recovering from a heart attack. On a Saturday at that time was a game that was hyped to all those proportions, No TV in his room and the doctor told us not to even bring a radio so he could hear it. Could be a problem I guess for Dad's recovery if he got too excited, emotional etc. listening to the game.

And what was the game you ask? It was Ohio State vs Michigan State! I think it ended in a 10-10 tie. No OT back then. Now, I remember it because of what my Dad was going through at that time. But I would be surprised if anyone who was around back then would remember that game and all it's hype. Or a young guy on here would say, "Yeah, I've heard about that game being talked about. It must have been awesome!"
    Sure, right.

So, we get big hype games every year, and they eventually fade away. Only to be replaced by newer ones. You gotta love college football! :)

If this game ends up being a blow out by either team, this game will go down in the books as a joke... your typical, overblown ACC match-up. I myself am hoping to see Clemson win this game because frankly, there's nothing more satisfying than watching the most arrogant, chest-thumping, fair-weathered fans in CFB, nolies, cry after a loss. lol

Hopefully, Clemson can play some defense in this game and create a pass rush. If they can create a pass rush, which fsu has not faced one yet this season, it will change this game entirely, because fsu's OL is still the same 'ole OL they've had for the past ten eight years, soft.

What also surprises me is that we get visitors on GC at times and there are a couple that I'm surprised have not weighed in on this game. One is ACCcile I think it is. And he usually gives opinions on ACC games that we post. Haven't seen him yet. The other would USMCnole. But now that I think about it, haven't seen him in awhile. Maybe he's overseas right now.

SEC fans get games like this 3-4 times a year sometimes late in November when basebore season is over and the whole entire world, even zulus and pigmye men, is watching.

For ACC fans, games like this are rare.

I went out to pick up my youngest son at football practice today and I heard dads talking about ACC football. I am worried but either way an ACC team will win so I guess I might as well enjoy the game.

FSU is playing good ball, no doubt.

For the winner, I'd have to lean toward the home town team with the SR QB... probably in a close game decided in the 4th quarter.

The winner likely has a good shot at the BCS CG... if they can close out their end of year SEC rivalry.
