like spurrier ran for the nfl cash? $5 million per year!
RayGator - I spent my freshman year living in Hume. Ugh!
A high school friend of mine was born while his parents lived at Flavets!!
Hmmm... maybe not solely because of the fans.
He probably had more than one reason.
But then, in all your reasonableness, you make it about blame and cast the argument as black and white (fans and scumbag).
But you were right about one thing, your level of discourse is probably not going to change my mind.
What logic!!? It's basic, common sense. They won we lost, 5 turnovers or not, we lost. It's clear as day.
It's hard to buy into that as a fan when you have new-ish coaches like Sumlin, Malzahn, Kingsbury, Shaw, Strong, etc. whose (less talented) teams can do seemingly simple things like run/pass block, complete a downfield pass, not commit a zillion penalties/gm, etc.
Even with the injuries there is NO EXCUSE for the way that the team played today on BOTH sides of the ball.
You obviously don't remember the Zook years. Zook would break your heart with a minute left in the game. This is a three hour cardiac code. the Zook teams would crush this squad, but I'm not sure what people expected this year. With all the lost starters, they should have prepared for at least four losses, which is the norm for a team with this much attrition. More if there are key injuries, and there were those as well.
I'm not sure why this keeps having to be repeated. It's the WAY we're losing. Our losses have been EMBARRASSING losses, with today's being the worst by far.
There's a complete lack of fundamentals and discipline.
It is amazing we have already played 3 top 13 teams away from home. I don't think anyone in the top 10 has even played close to that. There are obvious benefits to playing a easy schedule like OSU or FSU. I think with their schedule we might even think we were a great team at this point.
I have a lot of trouble disagreeing with "NO EXCUSE". I can't really offer any plausible excuses for what I saw today.
It has happened before but in much smaller doses - today it came crashing in on every part of our team. I don't know what "it" is, but fundamentals, technique, discipline is lacking on this team. It is coaching but is it because the coaching has been stressed through adjusting a very young team to loss of critical starters on both sides of the ball? That is the only excuse that makes comes close to plausible to me but we won't have to guess about that for much longer.
I kinda disagree..3rd and goal from the 6 yard line and he throws it over the head and arms of the open receiver...what's that like 18 to 25 feet to hit an open receiver?
That wasn't the only too high throw beyond the reach of open receivers today, he seems to usually go high instead of hitting them in stride but he's still the best option we have....
You forgot to mention the fact that we finished the second half with all 3 timeouts left so I have to assume CWM cleverly saved them for the Georgia game...
So is LSU still a good loss?
Jimbo Fisher is better than we are right now :-( Disgusting
Look at Brent Pease and Dan Hawkins after they've left BSU and you will then realize why Chris Peterson havent left Boise State yet.
I lived across the street from the stadium before the North end zone was closed in.
RayGator , were you at the game when Spurrier kicked the field goal to win the game?
Wow! I thought the also new Hume Hall across the street from Trusler was very nice. I couldn't believe it a few years ago when UF tore tore down that "new" Hume Hall and then built in its place the "new new" Hume Hall!
In the late '60s my younger brother and his wife lived in Flavet 3. I doubt many on here know what the Flavets were or their history.
Time goes by fast!
But as always, Go Gators!
But not a DC? Interesting...
