Sure if you say so
We were actually much closer to losing to ULL than we were to making it to the NC game (where we most likely would have been blown out).
I'm not sure what Urban has to do with this, he was NEVER going to be the same Urban while coaching here -- I know you probably realize that, but I understand that there are probably very few arguments that you can use at this point so what the heck.
Spurrier has also not achieved anything of note since he left (but you knew that too).
Revisionist history and oversimplification of the facts won't change the embarrassing product that the coaching staff has put on the field this year. Lack of discipline and fundamentals is the thing that's the most glaring to me, and that's 100% on the coaches.
Connor Shaw and USCe are pretty good. Don't let 2 narrow defeats change your thinking.
Mizzou will lose to USCe, Texas A&M, and probably Ole Miss. Probably 2 losses but could be 3.
I was addressing what he posted-
You interpreted his post in the most unfavorable way possible, in order to personally confront him.
I disagree, at least in part. I think Misou has a very good team. To be fair to UF's defense, there have been many injuries to some great players.
What I CANNOT understand is why the offensive line is so porous (to put it nicely). It gives the QB no time to throw or to set up running plays. The lackluster offense puts way too much pressure on the defense. They are on the field far too long.
I also fail to understand why we seem use essentially the same game plan when it's obvious even to me that it does not work.
I do not pretend to be a football expert, and would like to know what others think. Also, what remaining games do folks think we will win?
I was drinking and it didn't help...
Your response just proves you are the worst of the Gator fan base, Crazy high expectations for UF. A total rabid fan without any sight of reality. Did you call for Meyers head in 07 when they lost 5 games? Did you call for it during his last year?
Did you call for WM head last year on the way to 11-2 with who at QB?
Note the metric you used to disdain Richt at UGA fails when put to Spurrier at USCe but they should be thrilled.
Just looking for some consistency.
Post game on 103.7 on tune-in app
Oh they beat us when we had 5 turnovers, by this logic we should go hire Mizzu's whole staff.
Repped, well said
No, and no. No on the last one, but I did believe that we weren't as good as our record.
UGA and USCe aren't on the same level in terms of athletics, academics, you name it. Expectations aren't and shouldn't be the same at both schools. This is not a one-size-fits-all proposition; I'm not sure why you keep trying to make it into one.
Chased them off?! Hahahahaha! You think we are the only fan base who expects to win every game? If Urbs loses 5 games at OSU people would put For Sale signs on his lawn. Give me a break with that garbology!
Revisionist history and oversimplification of the facts?
I was making a comment about our ridiculous fan base. My only argument boils down to referencing the fact that we chased off two of the greatest college football coaches in history (and still active) and no one else can come close to claiming that.
Your argument seemed to be - nah... neither one of them was really great?
But this part
"Lack of discipline and fundamentals is the thing that's the most glaring to me, and that's 100% on the coaches."
100% agree with you there. But I haven't changed my opinion that our fan base makes Florida not such a great place to coach... What wunderkid with long head coaching resume are we gonna get? We are better off giving Muschamp a chance...
Muschamp said absolutely nothing.
Only fan base who expects to win every game?
No - Not saying that.
Only fan base to chase off, not one, but two hall of fame coaches the caliber of Meyer and Spurrier?
Yeah - I'm saying that.
With your logic, LSU chased off Nick Saban.
yea I did...
Correct USCe has more recent NC's(in major sports) than UGA so by that metric they should have higher expectations.
UGA has ONE more SECC in what 30 yrs?
There is far more parity in CF and it's hard to deal with.
I just think sometimes we expect a little much our attitude has always been that way only fan base worse is ND in that regard I think.
As far as last year with 1 exception UF played its best games against it's best opponents.(See LSU, USCe, FSU).
My argument was/is that "we chased off two of the greatest college football coaches in history" is a gross oversimplification (I don't really agree that the fans "chased off" either coach, but that's neither here nor there).
The whole Meyer situation was one of the more ridiculous and outlandish sequences-of-events in recent memory so I'm not sure how you could lump that in with what happened with Spurrier or what is happening currently.
