What a real piece of crap some of you have elected for a President

obama now threatens to arrest them if they try it again..He better get the military tanks and armored vehicles ready as they have another group on the way.

"Well, now the feds are threatening to arrest the vets if they try it again. Of course, we know how the vets are going to respond. As they’ve said, they fought Hitler… they can handle Obama and his men.

Quite frankly, this is the story of the shutdown. When the government goes out of its way to hurt us in a manner that is unnecessary, they’re usually doing it just to seize more control. The proper response is to ignore them and remind them who they’re theoretically supposed to work for.

Its time to have a million man march on all the closed memorials and open them up. These parks and memorials belong to the people paid for by the people obama is overstepping himself this time and it will come back to bite the liberal dem in the butt

    SEIU paid protesters

    http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2013/10/democrats-pay-union-members-to-protest-world-war-ii-vets.php

    Obama's Brownshirts..

"You can’t make this stuff up: World War II veterans come to Washington to see their monument, and the Obama administration tries to block them by putting up barricades. When that blunder starts getting media attention, the administration doubles down by paying union members $15 to march around, waving signs and protesting–as though that were a sure-fire way to generate sympathy for the nonessential federal employees who are getting the day off. Is it possible that the Democrats could be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?"

So we have a far rightwing blog assuring us that some unnamed guy said he was being paid to march. I'm guessing that other rightwing sites will immediately pick that up as gospel.

Pretty pathetic trying to stick it to the VETS!! That memorial is typically open 24/7 365 and requires little to no rangers so it is the equivelant to going to a beach and yet Obama put in the effort and means to close it. There was more security at the Memorial keeping WWII vets out than we had in Benghazi! I guess he thinks that those who made this country great are now the new enemies.

You would really have to work really hard to convince me of the need to close a monument that is sitting out in the open. I do not require the federal government to be open in order for me to stroll around and look at stuff.

The barricades and the 'closed' signs are simply there for photo ops and to make it more painful than need be.

This kind of hooliganism is why we need to Amend the Constitution to abolish the old thuggery unions. Their time has come and gone, there is not real reason to have them with the new laws, regulations and protections workers enjoy today.

Or you could just repeal the NLRA & Taft-Hartley, which seems much simpler than amending the consitution to bar freedom of association. Go for it.

Just because someone says it in some blog on the Internet does not make it truth. I find no credible sources to back this up.

There is no need. It has actually taken additional effort to accomplish any substantial closure. Just like with sequester, the goal has been to create as much visible suffering as possible, disappointments and outrages, to make people demand that the borrowing faucets get turned back on. This time it backfired badly.
