This is, quite frankly, BS. Judge Nelson ordered the evidence released at the close of trial if my ears didn't deceive. If the FBI wants his gun, they can get a profanely described warrant for it. It is his property and he is a free man, accused of no crime.

I kinda hope that they (Zimmerman and his legal team) go on the offensive here with Sanford PD and force the issue.

Can't they just frame Zimmerman and get it over with?

I'm quite sure that GZ doesn't really give a chit about his gun right now...

Bad behavior, bad precedent, bad law. Deserves to be dealt with. Plus, showing that they are not at all cringing from this federal investigation is probably the best way to short circuit it. Punch the shark on the nose, right?

I would want my gun back if I was in that situation. He has a big target on his back from all the idiots that think they can issue their own version of justice. Getting his gun back should be on the top of his list.

And just maybe whoever shoots him can claim self defense. Wouldn't that just be a hoot?

I can see it now, a person of color kills Zimmerman for revenge but claims self-defense...not having enough evidence to come close to supporting the claim...a trial occurs, verdict = guilty, and people scream that things aren't fair and that given the reversal of colors, one man goes free and one man is incarcerated. All along the way, ludicrous comparisons are made about the few (if any) similarities that exist between the Zimmerman shooting and the Martin shooting.

    Go GATORS!

If I was as big a target as GZ, I would want my gun back. Does he still have the right to own and posses a firearm?

Im not sure why you would think its a "hoot" for someone to get shot...

Facts are facts, you can defend yourself in this country. GZ did, and he should still be able to do so.

He absolutely has the right to. He was found not guilty, so he has no criminal record. He should already have his gun back.

This crap with the DOJ and FBI is all political BS.<O:p</O:p

It is the principle of the thing though. That said, it is a pretty bad example of a reliable gun. Those handguns are notoriously unreliable and often break

The hoot is how easy it is to claim self defense.
