Well for those were actually AT the game what was the split? Don't care for those who watched on TV as I did also. Thank you.

Isn't it easier to tell by the TV crowd shots?

I was at the game and sat in section 416. This first thing I would say is that the stadium was only at about 80-85 percent capacity, as there were empty seats all over the place. I haven't bothered watching the replay, so I don't know what the game attendance looked like on television. But believe me when I tell you that I was disappointed by the number of empty seats, given this might be the last time that UF and UM play in the regular season.

As far as the distribution of fans goes, I would say it was ~60-70% UM fans. Again, not sure what the game looked like on TV, but mostly all the UF fans were sitting in the upper deck.

I'd agree with the 60-70 split. Most canes weren't wearing white, more of them than I thought. I was in 234, but one upper corner was pretty sparse.

I didnt understand while I was there why I needed to pay as much as I did for my tickets. There were open seats everywhere, especially the one corner which looked completely unsold. Any reason why the canes would choose not to sell the tickets?

Miami fans always disguise themselves as empty seats.

I really would like to know how entire sections were pretty much empty??? Can anyone explain....??? It's not like people didn't show up...empty....looked unsold or maybe blocked for students...either way empty...kinda bizarre to see that...I'd just like to know...especially when many said high interest in game, sold out, tough ticket, whatever...and it wasn't...

The "added" seats I believe was simply the removing of the tarps.. The areas that were empty were the areas that the tarps usually cover.

Canes had a slight majority. Only 60%+ if you count the empty seats as canes.

Tailgating crowd was pretty cordial prior to the game. Most seemed to think they would lose. Even tho the canes led the whole game, the canes I saw weren't celebrating much until JDs final interception. Most were too busy celebrating their upset to do much trash talking at the end. Of course there were a few jackasses, but better than usual.

I didn't get the ticket situation. Had a friend trying to buy tickets at game time and the scalpers still wanted 100+. Lot of empty seats in west end zone upper decks. Also the placement of the down and distance and stat info in the stadium couldn't have been much worse.

We sat in section 437. There were a number of empty seats throughout the stadium. Our band was directly across in section 417 or 418. From what I've heard we were charged more for tickets than any other opponent on Miami's schedule. Even though our tickets were solidly in the Gator section there were Miami fans there, too. I wanted to suggest they go sit with their own, but didn't . If all the tix were sold, not all were used. UF did sell their allotment .

We sat in section 215 which was about 60/40 canes fans but all were cordial. Even before the game the tailgating was as good as you could expect. Good mixture of folks and not one douche bag. All conversation was good with all fans.

However, the one clown of all folks was an Fsu fan doing a gator chomp and throat slit gesture. Loud and obnoxious that lead to a cane fan dropping just outside the gate following the game. It was very fitting.

I believe that the one section with lots of empties was the UM student section.

Heard the Gator band loud and clear many times during the game.
Was a nice sound to be heard - helping calm my nerves.
