Good, but then you violated your precept about not subsidizing "products on the open market." Because food is a product on the open market.

Yes, and I'm in favor and a safety net that is temporary and limited for those that fall on hard times. I fail to see how this violates how I view subsidizing markets. This has zero effect on an industry. Your view is there is no difference between controlling a market with subsidies and temporary subsidies for those in need that have no effect on the market place.

Obama no-bids the website to Michelle's friend but when it was for his election website he chose Amazon.

Hussein hinted at getting some relief to those who have lost their coverage as an 'unintended consequence' of the ACA....and by that we can assume govt subsidies to help them pay their additional increases they will be seeing.

So.....if the rate of those losing coverage continues to outpace those signing on, and ACA was only going to work IF a certain number signed up for it as Prez Dumbchit so ignorantly boasted would happen----then not only will the govt be paying subsidies for those in the original plans, but now would have to be increased in volume to help Hussein pay for his 'fix' of this monumental screwup.

Where will the money come from to pay for these additional subsidies General Dumbass didn't count on having to pay? Yepper--the deficit will be increased once again under this...uh....er....'leadership'. Nowhere else for it to come as best I can see. But alas---Prez Dumbchit promised he would not sign ANY healthcare reform if it added even a dime to the deficit....oh yeah, and 'he means what he says'. Listen to this horsechit out of his mouth back in 2009.

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/pqa9WEIkOcI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

To top off his lies, at the :53 mark he notes about $100 Billion in 'unwarranted subsidies' which goes to insurance companies as part of Medicare. "Subsidies that do nothing to improve healthcare for our SENIORS. We ought to take that money and use it to treat people and cover people" The irony is that he and his fiasco is wanting instead---to take the money in higher premiums for services for those very same SENIORS for services such as maternity coverage, pregnancy testing, etc---services which those seniors DO NOT NEED! According to him, it is being wasted in one form now---yet ACA is doing nothing more than redistributing the waste elsewhere!

Last thing he says in the video is that he insists healthcare reform NOT be paid for on the backs of middle class families! RIGHT with ya, Hussein---instead stick it to those middle class families by tripling their premiums and quadrupling their deductibles.

This is one slick tongue lying Piece of Chit the libs worship and adore. His lies from several years ago are coming back to bite him, and bite him but good. How in the name of sanity did the libs support this entire idea when the numbers never did work out, much less support and elect this lying, good for nothing, utter waste of humanity, and steaming pile of manure--Hussein????

looks like prezBO care has been dealt another blow

    http://www.lifenews.com/2013/11/11/hhs-mandate-loses-again-obama-admin-cant-force-family-business-to-comply/

    from the article:
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), a pro-life legal organization, informed LifeNews today that a decision by a federal appeals court that clears the way for the ObamaCare HHS Mandate to be put on hold represents a “significant victory for protecting the religious beliefs of individuals and corporations.”

In a 2-1 decision issued Friday by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the court reversed the federal district court’s denial of a motion for a preliminary injunction and remanded the case for the district court to enter the preliminary injunction. The appeals court upheld the rights of both individuals and companies to challenge the ObamaCare HHS Mandate – the first decision of its kind in the ongoing HHS Mandate litigation.

“This is a significant victory for protecting the religious beliefs of individuals and corporations,” said Edward White, Senior Counsel of the ACLJ who represents the Illinois company.

Bet again. Subsidies will go to people who in most cases, don't pay any tax at all, and don't even fill out a 1040EZ. They will also go to people who work in the "shadow economy"--cash-only businesses that are completely off the gov't radar. It is estimated that 10-15% of the U.S. economy is the shadow economy.

    Pure nonsense and fantasy.

When you apply through the Marketplace, your stated income is verified against your W-2 from the previous year. If there is a wide variance, you will be asked to send in current paystubs to prove your income level.

Until you go through that process, you can't qualify for subsidies.

It's not conjecture on my part. You can ask me for specifics in DM.

If no previous filing, they would have to send in current paystubs.

The EIV (electronic income verification) system could be used to do this, but I was under the impression that income would NOT be verified. Which is it?

EIV also checks to see how much money you have in in the bank as well. It is a search based on your social security #.

It's my understanding that a new database was set up for this purpose.
