Actually, Obama doesn't have any. He was neutered many years ago. But Valerie Jarret does and she's in checkmate.

Even though these options are 100% on the money, because it came from someone Fox pays as an analyst, the liberal media will disect this woman's life and any traffic ticket, bad first date, late payment...you get the message. When you are wrong, attack the messenger. Deflect. Change the topic.

We either fail as a country in the coming weeks or we rise to the occasion and do everything listed in that Fox editorial. It's up to Obama where we end up...

By the way... Obama is looking more and more like Carter these days... spineless and inept.

Economic sanctions means no oil/coal coming out of Russia. It cuts both ways and right now Europe is blinking.

This is true...but unlike Russia, Europe has other options. The oil fields in Africa are just as close as the oil fields in Siberia--and while Europe might have to pay a little more, they can ultimately afford it; Russia cannot.

I rarely get my news from Fox--but it's hard to argue with ANY of those proposals in there. Call Putin out and see if he blinks. It accepts the Crimea reverting back to Russian rule--but would be a severe reality check on Putin's ambitions.

I think there's a difference between respecting something and admiring something, and I think there are some Conservatives who have crossed that line, but I think it's wrong to insinuate the majority of them do, because I don't think the majority admire him. Now I think the majority of them may respect the way Putin moves and acts, especially when it embarrasses a President who has no business being President and was shoved down our throats by the media pre-election 2008 as some kind of government-altering life-changing revolutionary figure. I think it's humorous at times to see Obama kind of out-maneuvered, but I'm more disappointed, embarrassed, and a even a little nervous- because whether I like him or not, he's my President.

Cute Ben. It's just a shame that Republican ideals and ideas meant to keep our country stronger and safer aren't shared by those in power now and the results are people all over the globe are less safe for it when dealing with someone like Putin..

 You asked for a "rational" explanation of my throw away post (which was also in reply to a seemingly unserious post that was itself a plagiarism of Rush Limbaugh) that wasnt even directed at you. Someone took the time to make one and I linked it.

This link may be thready worthy, there's some interesting stuff in there. I wonder how feasible some of those ideas really are and what the repercussions would be if Putin called our bluff and we had to actually use some of the tactics she listed.
