Yowza, this guy really hates Florida.

He does the "best picks vs the spread" each week. Last week he picked Arkansas to win OUTRIGHT. This week:

    ---
Florida Gators at LSU Tigers (-7)
    ATS pick: LSU

In the first quarter Saturday, it looked like Arkansas might run for 300 yards on the Gators, but the Hogs gave up a pick-six and promptly panicked, unable to handle the moment in a tough environment. The Gators will have no such edge in Baton Rouge, where opportunities to back the Bayou Bengals at a single-digit price don't come around often.

Florida continues to field top athletes, but the whole is less than the sum of its parts and the Gators are just not in the same class as the SEC's best teams. A losing season is not yet out of the question for a Florida team that is only sure to be favored twice more this year.

    Score: LSU 31, Florida 10
    ---

Now look, it's entirely reasonable to pick LSU on their home field.

But 31-10? Really? And we're going to have a losing season? I love it. Did Muschamp pee in this guy's cornflakes?

Yeah, I usually laugh at Gator fans that think some of these "prognosticators" are hating on Florida... but this guy seems like he really is...

I also have this same reaction. The losing season comment is pretty wild.

He picked Arkansas to waltz into the Swamp & win the game outright.

Instead, the Gators won by 3 touchdowns. And yet this guy is doubling down!

Losing season? We're 4-1. Win two more and we go 6-6 at worst.

    What's this guy smoking?

One thing and only thing I'm concerned about is Florida seems kind of unmotivated in the 1st, on D. Lets hope they put a solid 4 quarters together.

Said we'd only be favored twice more this year, which means Mizzou will be favored over us next week. Now THAT is hilarious.

I made a thread about the media last week. They don't like the Gators. I don't know why, but that's the way it is. Danielson, Davis, Nessler, and Pollack are the 4 media members that usually approach us with a fair head. Everyone else is pretty biased

Wow that is pure sports writer hackery at its finest.

Arkansas "panicked" after the pick six? How is that? They "couldn't handle the environment". Is that what happened? I'm surprised this guy didn't pick lsu to win because of how "pumped up" they will be due to the unstoppable "revenge factor". These are things fans think are true, when in reality it's the Xs and Os and Jesses and Joes that win the game.

There isn't one ounce of actual football talk in that whole piece. What a hack. Makes me want to puke. Thanks for posting.

Hey, I don't mind analysts who don't think we're that good. Totally fair.

But this guy... WOW. Basically saying the only win we'll get the rest of the year is Georgia Southern!

Says Florida fields "top athletes", but not on the same level to compete with the SEC "elite".

    Yea totally makes sense.

I don't think we're "unmotivated" in the first as much as WM likes to see what the opponent is doing and then make adjustments. Sure it'd be nice to get all of that from film and come out playing the perfect defense, but I don't think its that easy. You never know how your 11 guys are going to matchup with their 11 until they get on the field. He's alluded to it once or twice before, and the proof is in the pudding with the way we generally shut teams down in the second half.

I would love for this poser to bet big money on the Commodores beating UF which is basically what he is implying.

There is nothing that makes any sense in what he's writing, so assuming he's not a complete moron, he's probably trying to rile up Gator fans to get hits.

Best thing to do is not click on his chit.

True. The only thing I'd have to say to that is hopefully the adjustments come more clearer and quicker this game. Whether LSU has a bad defense or not we do not want them getting a 10-14 point lead early.

This Harris has no conception for what a really good coach can make of a team. I'm dating myself by this, but most people could not believe it when SOS took over a Duke program with what the experts saw as little to no talent and made it the ACC champions. Nor did they believe he could do much with a Gator program on NCAA probation. Instead Steve took us to multiple SEC championships as well as our first national championship. They didn't believe Urban Meyer could get Bowling Green from being a doormat program to beating top teams in the MAC. He took unknown Utah to an undefeated season and a top five ranking.

Harris shows that he has no understanding of what our program is about. He clearly underestimates just how good a coach Will Muschamp is, despite our 11-2 record last year. He thinks our defense is a fluke that will collapse like a house of cards. These Gators are made of substance that will stand the test of time, much more so than the creditability of ESPN's Will Harris.
