Because he and the Crats have never given a rat's ass about the people who go to work everyday and pay the bills of America.

The Crats simply use the private workers to pay for the perks and benefits they get or want to hand out to get votes.

The private working class who pay the outrageous pensions of government workers who retire in their 50s.

The private working class who allow the able bodied to scam the system for taxpayer checks while they sit on the couch.

The private working class who pay America's health care bill.

The private working class who pay for the schools and the military to protect all; even the 47% who do not pay federal income taxes.

They could have allowed the private workers to keep more of their pay.

    They didn't.

To balance the budget? LOL. Obama doubled the deficit to 20B, bankrupting our children.

The truth. Democrats have never cared about the private middle class who go to work everyday.

It's a fact you will never see or read about from our mainstream liberal media.

Psst...the middle class tax cut just passed morphs to an increase in a few years to help pay for corporate tax cuts.

    Pass it on.

Psst. So you agree. Democrats simply don’t care about the private middle class workers. Why didn’t they propose a tax cut? Instead, they RAISED taxes on the middle class through soaring Obamacare premiums. Democrats are incapable of telling the truth.

Only a small number of Americans got their healthcare through the exchanges. The existence of ACA helped to mitigate soaring health premiums in employer plans, where most people get their insurance.

FYI, Obama cut taxes several times.

    Smoke and mirrors.

    Look SQUIRREL!

Past History (incorrect as it is as cited by you here) But here's a bit of advice... Forget Obama, he's not the President. Forget Hillary, she's not even involved in politics anymore.

Focus on the current White House president. I promise you, he's doing more damage to the middle class than you could have ever imagined either of your two chosen villains did or could.

BS. The higher Obamacare premiums subsidized the poor and the lazy. No democrat will ever cut taxes for private middle class workers. That is why they voted for Trump.

Lazy? FWIW, low income workers are some of the hardest working people. What is wrong with subsidizing the poor? How else are they supposed to get healthcare?

Better than Trump's plan, subsidizing the rich.

This thread is hilarious. This is why democrats don't even both reaching out to most conservatives anymore.

How are you even supposed to debate with someone who feels this way?

And then the idea that poor people are lazy and just want hand outs?

PS - Obama lowered taxes twice for people making less than 200k and signed into law over a dozen small business tax cuts. Not that anyone cares.

As a business owner and an employer, I get my insurance from the Exchange.

I take offense to the categorization of "poor and lazy".

Where do you get your health insurance? From your employer? If so, guess what? Your employer subsidizes your costs and raises it's product or service costs to cover it. As a business owner ask me how I know this...So in effect consumers are paying for your "lazy" backside.

When you are paying out of your own pocket $1000 to $1500 a month for your own health insurance maybe then point fingers.

Nice emotional response. I said the poor and THE lazy. I didn’t say all poor are lazy. There are plenty of able bodied people who should not receive a subsidy. How are you supposed to debate when the left won’t admit this? Obama’s ‘tax cuts’ were a bad joke. Crats don’t care about the workers who pay the bill. Period.

NCBull, it's been pointed out that Obama did sign tax cuts for the middle class. Thoughts on that?

51% of the middle class with kids received an average of $351. 45% of married couples received about $200. Only 1 in 4 middle class taxpayers benefited according to the Tax Policy Center. Now add back what increased regulation and higher Obamacare costs and his tax cut was crumbs. Remember, the liar said on national TV that Obamacare would save most couples an average of $2500 a year. At least Trump’s plan gives the middle class a significant cut. Is it a gift to the rich? You betcha. Both parties cater to the rich.

True, but his tax cuts were mostly temporary. He did a credit up to $400 in 2009 that was in effect for 2 years and a payroll tax cut in 2010 that was in effect for 1 year. He did extend the Bush tax cuts that were due to expire though.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...-obama-said-hes-cut-taxes-middle-class-famil/

Also Obama promised to "bend the cost curve", which was healthcare spending and that's what drives premiums increases broadly. He even promised that premiums would come down a bit. Remember him saying we were supposed to save $2,500 on average. That didn't happen. The people that really got screwed were the individual market participants because the whole idea of healthy people subsidizing sick people didn't work and they saw their premiums double or triple. The original estimate was an increase of 10-15% or so. But group premiums increased as well because the underlying costs never came down as well as due to the new mandated coverages.

    https://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2016-12-12/the-affordable-care-act-didnt-bend-the-cost-curve

As far as Trump's cut, it's no big thing really. As a percentage of GDP, it's one of the smaller ones compared to Reagan, Bush and even Obama.

Was this before or after your years of claims that "the cost curve is bending downwards"??....which of course never happened.

But....it was fun to read your statements. Got a much needed laugh from them.;)

It has not. The rate of increase slowed.

Trump’s sabotage of ACA will skyrocket rates.

I wonder if we aren't succumbing to sentimentality wrt the middle class. I think we might be trying to fight the free market. That is, I think the mkt is such that there will be increasing income disparity. Returns to scale are increasing which greatly disadvantages small bidness. Returns to the highly educated, highly skilled & those with an appetite for risk may be greater, comparatively, than they ever have been. & low skill, low educated, non-risk takers are seeing a job market where they are being replaced with technology or commoditized via international supply chains.

If this is the problem, we need to acknowledge it & come up with a better solution than trying to roll a rock up an endless hill. Progress can leave a lot of folks behind.

I think It's silly to pretend that the only way you can show your appreciation for workers is a tax cut. Imagine if Obama had passed a gigantic tax cut while spending what he was, how many of you would have been losing your minds over the deficit?

Doc. While technology and global employment are eliminating low skill jobs , the larger reason for growing income disparity is income derived by the exploding stock market.
