Depth in our front-court is going to be incredible.

This eliminates any worries about the frontcourt in the season after next. We'll have a big guy with game experience and a year to learn BillyBall.

Nice read Seck ........Tall, athletic, proven, whats not to like? Given rserina's comments looks like Carter or Graham
is out. Hard not to think UF is in the top ten category for the next couple of years if you look at the talent on the roster. Of course Billy has to build team chemistry but it sure seems like he has stockpiled some nice players to work with.

maybe this transfer market is what keeps Billy in college basketball, instead of chasing 18 year olds around wait for them to gain a year or 2 of prespective, realize they made a mistake and then have them come to you.

Yeah, we already have a Hayes committed as a freshmen (not high rated, but seems like he has very high level athleticism and energy). Murphy as a 5th year Sr, and Egbunu as a redshirt soph, and Robinson should be a beast at the 3/4 by then as well.

That's a pretty nice projected lineup right there, and it covers the whole scale of experience as well thanks to the transfers. Definitely no more need for "tweener" bigs, but the 2015 class (i.e. actual high school players) could maybe use another 6'10" 250 to backup Egbunu and get ready for 2016 and beyond... but of course this is always a need for pretty much any team not named Kentucky.

Except for Harris, it seems like most (if not all) of his recruits and transfers are good people too. No prima donnas. Hopefully that makes them easier to coach without having to worry about bad chemistry, or kids totally not buying into the system or following the rules.

Awesome. If the numbers don't work out could Horford end up having his way paid by his brother? Just a thought

This makes sense. Judging from the fact that Billy Donovan let him practice with the team toward the end of last season indicates that Harris decided that he needs the Gators more than the Gators need him and thus has kept his nose to the proverbial grindstone recently. Bullis suggested that Carter's recovery has not been going well, but that Graham is progressing nicely. So, perhaps it will be Carter.

This young man sounds like a very likely prospect, after all, he did perform fairly well as a frosh. This also largely eliminates the concerns regarding getting no PF/C's in the 2014 class.

I certainly wish him good fortune in his new environment.

Harris is most likely going to be out....and Horford is a C all the way, so we will be a tad less deep, but fine next season if Harris is out....only UK has the front court depth in the SEC we could not match, even without Harris....and frankly, no one in CBB can match their front court depth and talent....for the last time I will say Dillon Graham is not going anywhere

This is contrary to the link which has a large dose of pessimism on Harris ever playing with the Gators.

I read that the announcement won't be made until the "proper paperwork has been filed"

Does Egbunu go on scholarship immediately or will he have to wait until the other recruits start? Technically, I guess we have 9 guys on scholarship today

Bullis, why would we want to eliminate a big man like Harris who could really help us?
If he ever gets his act together, isn't he much more valuable than a 3rd, 4th or 5th SG?
What if Carter never heals properly or someone else gets injured during a practice?
How late can we wait to make this determination before the season starts?

    Completely ignorant projection:

Carter will go the medical hardship route, based strictly on what I saw last season.

Incoming recruits and Egbunu would be here summer B, which starts in June sometime, so we would need to be at 13 at that time....we would not be eliminating Harris, if it is him who goes, he did this all to himself

    Thanks for the explanation, Bullis.
If a player gets injured just before the season starts or early on, can't remain qualified for
whatever reason and/or get dismissed from the team, can they then be replaced by another?

Could someone please list our anticipated 13 roster players expected in by June?

I was told today they are presenting 3 different players with what may happen. Graham may not go anywhere but he doesn't have to be on athletic scholly to be at UF. Heard Harris is borderline, but Carter is still having issues physically. Interesting what might happen here

Here's the 14 players who have been or will be on scholarship, in (more or less) order of ascending height :p The speculation is that perhaps Graham will pay his own way for a year, Carter could get a medical hardship, or Harris could be gone again. We will know at some as yet undetermined point in the future.

    Chris Chiozza
    Kasey Hill
    Eli Carter
    Dillon Graham
    Michael Frazier II
    Brandone Francis
    Devon Walker
    Alex Murphy
    Dorian Finney Smith
    Devin Robinson
    Damontre Harris
    Jon Horford (transfer, immediately eligible)
    Chris Walker
    Egbunu (transfer, ineligible)

Plus walkons Jake da Snake, Lexx Edwards, Billy Donovan, and Zach Hodskins

With all due respect to a Dillon Graham type, if a 3rd tier player comes
from a more affluent family who can afford to pay his own way....well.

Kind of reminds me of millionaires receiving social security pay.
Sure, they're still entitled to it, but not when the greater good suffer.
    Time for some means testing.

Not sure how the NCAA would look at this since it is not a parent/child situation. Taken to an extreme, couldn't a Bull Gator pay for any player's schooling?
