I noticed this a few times. What is the purpose of the barrel roll he does on the line?
Loved the barrel roll. As if I wasn't laughing enough already at the game, Easley provided an excellent side show.
But does it actually serve a purpose?
It was almost cute:embarrased:
He's just shifting position to a different gap, but doing it with style. Maybe he thinks the quick move before the snap will catch the OL off guard.
Doing it for show
Well as long as he doesn't mess it up and faceplant or something
Some team will snap the ball and catch him backwards
The football purpose is to change gaps.
The Easley purpose of doing it that way is to have fun.
I'm sorry but that would be so hilarious I don't think I'd care about a bad play from the defense.
Thought I was watching Friday Night Lights (movie)....the Dallas Carter linemen do that in the championship game. Makes good theater!
What in the world is this a picture of?
OMG. You've never heard of Star Fox? Best game ever on the Nintendo 64!
I'm too young to remember what N64 is. Kidding. I just couldn't tell from the picture. TBH, I wasn't ever much of a Star Fox fan. Lots of Mario 64, though.
Called stemming but an unusual technique.
Standing up might draw the qbs attention maybe?
Has to confuse the offensive linemen or it least give them a WTH the first time they see it.
I liked the SNES version better
Have to concur with the other guy, Star Fox was so awesome back in the day.
I thought the barrel roll was cool too
