Hard to book worthwhile names? We could book the whole season simply from our recieving corps during the early-mid 1990's

Heck heres 3 years without even thinking or touching defense, special teams, coaches or old school guys:

2014: Doering, Ike, Quezzy, Reche, Jackson, Houston. Theres your whole season right there

    2015: E. Rhett, E.Smith, F. Taylor, C. Faison, JL Williams, Lorenzo Hampton

2016: Tim, Danny, Shane, Kerwin, Rex, Wayne

This dazzling post was sent via my Samsung Galaxy Tablet using jet packs custom built for Gator Country.

But, in all seriousness, I LOVE this idea. Love Mr. Two Bits. Love honoring him. Love the tradition and like the fact that it will now be carried forward. Excellent.

    Rainey and Demps.
    Race to midfield.
    Winner does the cheer

Alex Brown before a Tennessee game.
Doug Johnson before an FSU game.
    Kerwin before an Auburn game.

    ...and so on.

2012 National Champions Women's Gymnastics team - 12 of 'em, constantly, all over the place!

Our tennis champions featuring Lauren Embree.

The soccer champions featuring Abby Wambach.

    Fun stuff.

Lawrence Wright should permanently replace the "OUTSTANDING!!!" guy who does the pre-game.

At first, I was very much against it. I mean do you remember that little kid they tried to dress up. Some "things" are an institution. I'm still kinda on the fence, but there's no doubt at some point the guest schtick will get old. But why not...

I don't understand why it would get old or how they'd run out of Gators to do the cheer.

I see it being akin to what the Chicago Cubs do with their 7th inning stretch "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" song which features celebrities, politicians, athletes, etc. That hasn't seemed t get old for them. And there's only six or seven home games a year.

If anything, I could see ESPN or CBS doing a featurette on the cheer during broadcasts or even run a story about the thing during ESPN Gameday or another college football show. That is great publicity and is something that would seem to enhance Gator fandom and the prestige of being recruited to play at the UF. These are the sorts of things that set college football apart from the NFL.

I think it's a cool idea. I wonder how feasible it would be to have fans vote on who does it.

just because we can reel off a bunch of names of gator greats doesn't mean it will be convenient for them to travel to gainesville that particular weekend or that they'd even want to if they could

i could see a couple seasons down the road, when the novelty has worn off, for one of those western carolina games: "ladies and gentlemen, let's welcome back brian fox!
2 bits! 4 bits! 6 bits a dollar...if you remember who he is, stand up and holler!"

but whatever, if the majority of the fanbase is into it, then go for it

That's the first thing that I thought of...the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley.

This might become a FANTASTIC pregame tradition!
